ok well due to forces beyond our control we had to slash our wedding budget!
but - i wanted to suprise H2B by still getting him the wedding car he wanted - rolls royce phantom! at nearly £1000 is quite a big bit of our budget but H2B been through so much just wanted to do summin nice for him, but i cant tell MIL2b coz she will moan about spending too much money on such a small part of the wedding,
but she had the same idea as me and got him a ferrarri to take him to the church!
    so what do i do??
i KNOW he wants the rolls royce phantom, but his mum is soo excited about getting the ferrarri for him, and i know that he would like that too - just not as much as the rolls royce.
he doesnt know about either, any suggestions?
    what would you do?
    xXx

if ur budget is small hun i think let her pay for the ferrarri and use ur money on the wedding, or talk to her about him wanting a rolls royce phantom and maybe she could sort that out? xx

I would be honest and tell her what you have already done and say that he had his heart set on it. Will either of you lose out on a deposit? If not why not ask her if she wants to sort out the RR instead? I'm sure she will be fine if she knows that is what her son has asked for. Just hope that neither of you lose any money with the over booking.

well thats the thing, she not paying for the ferrarri, it is a friends, so would save £1000 for the wedding, which obviously would help a lot!! and i know she wouldnt pay for the rolls.
so its a choice between the car i KNOW he would LOVE and losing £1000 or a car he would still like, just not as much but saving £1000! lol

Personally if its free I would go with that as the h2b will still love it as its an amazing car and it something you can put towards the honeymoon or something. I know he likes the phantom but I'm sure he won't feel he is missing out on it as he wasn't expecting anything in the first place.

go with the ferrari! what he doesn't know won't hurt him! we would all love to have something that we can't have really but at £1000 thats a huge chunk out of your budget! sure you can think of loads of other things to spend it on. xx

Oh yes he will be. Just seeing you will make his day and getting to marry you is the icing and cherry on top. He will be well made up with the Ferrari and will be buzzing just thinking about you. x x
