Met my personal trainer last night. We've worked out a program and he's kindly giving me Sunday's off. How nice of him. And he's making me stop drinking green tea and drink more water. Apparently without more water than I currently drink, our sessions are going to kill me, so that should be fun

So today I have been extremely good at work and only eaten the food I specifically took in. Avoided all the sweets left over from Halloween and from people who have come back from hols. And then I get in and OH has been shopping and there is a pack of candy pencs on the side.... Bugger. Hopefully I will be able to resist :p

Leanne, g00gle a website called sl1mm1ngw0rld3@ts. There are loads of fab recipes on there - obviously all following the SW plan but you don't have to be following SW to use them!

Steph I did latin and ballroom for about 12 years, love it. I really wanna do a proper dance for the first dance but OH isn't keen. Is that why you are having lessons? x

Leanne sorry I missed your post this morning. It is sort of why we are having lessons, but its a class so not one on one. I danced for about 8 years as a kid and what with Strictly and everything my feet have been itching for a while. OH isn't a brill dancer so if we are at any dos then we rend to spend the whole night sat in the corner :/. So really I'm just going back to something I liked and bringing OH with me with the bonus of the exercise and a good dance for our wedding party.
CommentAuthorStephH96
Flossie, I forgot how good the Tango was. Just did a couple of basics but we got taught a flourish to finish off and I think everyone in the class liked that bit the best.
CommentAuthorBecci93
My oh can't dance at all and i don't fancy trying much either lol. Oh is going for a cop out and voting we have lee Brice I don't dance for the first dance .. I much prefer Ben Paisley then

It sounds great Steph and it's great that it's something you can do with your OH. I've been wanting to do ballroom and latin for ages now but it's just another added cost although I know I'd really enjoy it, I know OH would be happy to do it with me too. We may go for a few classes just before the wedding, maybe just for a 6 week term or something. I do want to lightly choreograph our first dance routine, not so much that it's OTT but I'd like us to both know what we're doing.
I've been dancing since I was about 6 but has always been in ballet, modern and contemporary. Never ever touched ballroom and latin! Although my mum and I did have a dabble with f1t st3ps for a few months which is a fitness classed based on Str1ctly, but it's not partnered and you only learn a small number of steps from the different dances.

We signed up for an 18 week course but you pay in 6 week blocks. Each 3 weeks you learn 2 dances so by the end of it you will have learned 4 dances. Its £47 each for the 6 week blocks so I think that's pretty good price wise.
I think you could choreograph it yourself though - I'm sure if you got a book or a few videos on youtube you'd be able to translate it onto the dance floor with your experience?

Well done Emma! I've been trying a new way of doing weight watchers this week, but then I had lots of chocolate and a big curry on Saturday and a big roast dinner and crumble yesterday. So today I'm up half a pound :( Gonna stick at it though as it's been quite refreshing.
