i have sold a couple of things to brides on here and both trusted me with their money and got their items, it gives ppl like me a bad name when others take the mickey cos then no one trusts anyone to do what they say! i feel really bad for mrs clark losing out in her swap, some ppl just like to ruin things and take what they can get! pure selfishness, i hope karma does bite them in the backside! lol i will be giving items away for free now, although im not sure about affording the postage! :/ i have a small tiara for a child with clear and blue crystals on, its not in brilliant condition, i think the metal is stainless steel, but the gems look beautiful and will do someone a good turn, also have a pair of size 5 royal blue stain peep toe heels, these r in good condition, just dont fit me! message me if ur interested in any of these?

One bad apple spoils the bunch and that is exactly what a few people have done - ruined a good thing for others.

Freecycling is fine for those happy to give stuff away. I don't think the mods would want several threads to keep track of to delete when an item is taken and most people on here are happy to read through seeing as the thread loads up at your last comment/where you last read. If people use the freecycle to advertise their stuff for sale i think it should just be a case of posting pics of what you have and asking people to contact you off forum if they want anything.

As for the swaps unless you can guarantee you are going to get something in return it is a risk because you don't really know the person you are sending stuff to. I'm just gutted that my idea has gone sour because of a few dishonest people. Alternatively if you live close enough to someone you can arrange to meet and do a face to face swap then i don't see why that can't work. Saves postage and ensures you get what you are after in return.

I am sure the mods will figure something out and get on the case for us all! xxx

Well i havent been on here for ages now and i cant believe how some people have taken advantage of this site! I love this site so much and all you ladies are lovely! I have only swapped one thing on here so far and it went great for me and i even got something in return :) I dont mind giving things away for free after our wedding (ages away yet!) But like others if you have spent a lot on some items then you will want something back. Maybe if you are selling things then put them on the bay with a link to your wall and post things for free in here?

We are on a very tight budget and have more or less no money for the wedding, so i am happy to help out when i am done! :)

I am looking for 3 white Bridesmaids dresses, sizes 10, 12 and 14. I dont need them till around oct next year. i am looking to spend about £20 for each dress, i know this seems cheap but like i said, no money! lol! And my dress only cost £50 :)

Hello ladies I have 6 cadbury purple silk rose button holes if anyone wants them. I bought them from the bay of e a while back, they were meant to come with pearl sprays on them but didnt so I requested to send the back, the seller agreed and in the meantime I ordered some foam flowers to make my own, only to recieve the original button holes back as she refused the parcel at the other end and I never got my refund. I would rather put them to some use with someone who wants them. xx

Ladies we have noticed that there have been a few problems on this thread

the thread was set up for people to swap things ...... not to sell them ...people are sending stuff out of the goodness of their hearts and if you have something that you are swapping then please fulfil your side of the arrangement.

if you have an item that you are happy to give away and want nothing in return then it is quite right that you ask for postage ...i suggest this is always paid via pay pal where possible.

if any of you have any specific problems then please let one of the moderators know asap

I agree, shame people have to RUIN this thread.

Some people trying to "grab" every freebie going, whilst making out theyre loaded and have everything already bought?!?!
Some people not even giving so much as a thank you, or letting you now when things you posted arrived!
And others thinking it funny to promise people items, take thier details and never send it.

All fun and games on here eh! I for one am done with it.
