Mine asked me what was up with me friday night so I told him (spending all his time on his computer) and guess what he's been on it most of yesterday and since we got back from the jumble sale. (it was advertised as a market in a posh local village, turned out to be a chav supplies sale in a muddy field)
He also alternates between ignoring discussions about the wedding (it's my wedding aparently) and moaning he is having no say in it.

Lol luckily I'm on nights this week so he can play till stupid o clock to his hearts content. Then come pick me up at 8 and go sleep. I slept for 11 hours solid last time in between shifts and only woke up when my alarm went off.

cupcake your not the only one except my H2B gets home grabs a beer and sits in the conservatory all night on his iphone! Hes not bothered tho that i've made all the decisions hes just happy to turn up. Only thing he has chosen really is the song but he had to win me round on that to.

I remember when I first came up with the idea of the swap shop. I guess moderating the process isn't something that can happen and perhaps freecycling is a better name because unless you are paying for something there is no guarantee you will get something for it.
Maybe I will have a word with J and see what he thinks. This part of the forum has been useful for a lot of people but like RaggedyAnne says there are people taking the **** and it's not fair on the other brides who are genuine and not trying to swindle people out of things
I just hope the lying little muggers who know who they are have a conscience because karma will get you back and i won't be giving you any sympathy if you get taken to the cleaners!

Some people aren't observing the rules about the thread being a swap shop and with no way of moderating the return of goods it wasn't really feasible to call it a swap. If on the other hand you happen to live nearby or have met personally with a bride on the forum and want to arrange a swap privately then this is up to you but swaps will be done at brides own risk.
Hails is waiting to catch up with lala to sort the thread out to either rename this one or delete and start it again under the new name.

Only found out about this today, I think its a great idea but surely it would make more sense to have seperate threads for people to offer and recieves swaps for single items rather than a free for all where people cant keep up? xx

i think it is a great idea to offer things for free, as most of us are on such a tight budget... if of course you do want a swap then it should be put on the thread and only answered by the people honest enough to honour there side of it.

Me too. Some things I want to sell obviously, as some things cost a lot of money and I only justified buying them because I intended to sell them on, but a lot of stuff I will free-cycle.

I reckon, the woman who 'stole' the dress......and yes I think its like stealing, I reckon the lady that sent it to her should email all of us brides with her address.....then we should all write to the woman in question and ask why she hasnt sent what she was meant to send? 50 letters on your doorstep would'nt be much fun would it!
