Well ladies I've noticed quite an influx in members (including myself) who are either pregnant or trying to concieve (TTC for short)
As UKBaby isn't set up yet I thought this thread might be a good idea. For us to support one another and also to keep everything in one place where we can share tips and ask advice without trawling the whole site looking for the threads we need.
As this is non wedding related I'd advise all to bookmark and spread the word to other members as "rules is rules" and this non-wedding related thread will be sunk after 12hr just like the rest.
You don't have to be pregnant/a mummy to post here, don't want anyone feeling left out especially if they think they have useful advice to pass along.

Thanks Modmummy :) xxx I'll flitter between here and the other forum I've joined and see how it goes on both....ok so i'll give you a tiny bit of info on where me and hubby are at : We got married November 2011.. are coming off OC in about 2 weeks, we will see what happens until next year when I'm 30 - if we aren't expecting by then we will go down the medical road and see what the doctors can do for us... it's all very exciting - hubby has been looking at baby things and getting a bit broody too now so it's not just me getting excited !!!!

Awww good luck Zoe Kay! Hope it all goes they way you want it to :) For me, (for those who've not seen my post) I'm getting married 30th June, found out I was expecting yesterday and got my first appointment with the midewife on Friday who says I'm about 5 weeks and my est due date (which of course will change at the date scan) is 18th Feb! We've been very lucky, after just 2 months of coming off the pill and doing a lot of the babymaking dance it happened! Timing couldn't be more perfect! We are planning of telling close family this weekend, and I think we will keep things between us until 12 weeks before telling everyone else :) still doesn't feel real!
boo... i dont class as a new mummy :( & im not TTC YET! my lb is 2... 3 in October. getting married next July so hoping to TTC then :) xxx

I waited til I was 16 weeks. I just enjoyed having my own special little secret with a few select people who knew. I think as well that 1st Trimester can drag on a fair bit so having a secret passes the time a bit too lol

Well I think we've now decided to keep it close, I've just told my best friend as I just had to tell someone and she said to wait until 12 weeks, so I think after telling family this weekend that will be it for now. But I've given her strict orders not to tell any one ^_^ made it all feel more real actually telling someone close and having someone to lean on for now other than H2B weeeeeeeeeeeeee

they keep me very busy lol! getting better as they get older though! i wouldnt wish giving birth to 2 babies on anyone though lol! Ah you never know then...we dont have twins on either side, just pure luck for us lol xxx

Oh gosh, H2B keeps messing with me saying about twins, however we don't have twins in our families I'll be happy with just one healthy little one :) I started taking folic acid as soon as I came off the pill. Ahh I'm so glad I can come on here and talk to you all :)

ive been ttc for 19 months and after 12 i went to visit my doctor n had tests and was told im not ovulating after being on the depo i adivice any ladies to see there doctor after 12 months i am now waiting to have a scan then ill be ready to start clomid ) good luck ladies ps i had my first child normally n she is 2 and healthy :)

love this thread, i have 4 kids and i get broody all the time! lol im currently debating weather to have a 5th or call it a day, its such a tough decision, i really dont like the thought of saying thats it, plus i have 3 girls and a boy, so would love to try for a brother for my son. for now this thread will keep me busy though lol congrats to all the ladies expecting and good luck to those trying to concieve! steph, i just felt sick a lot in the first 5-6 weeks! lol but in a few weeks u will have ur first scan, thats when it feels real! x

It was funny on our first scan. Bean was hiding in a corner and refused to move into the right position. Had to jump up and down, go have lunch - nothing worked. The man doing the scan made me laugh and the baby did a somersault and was in the right position. We were there nearly 3 hours. Hoping bean will be less stubborn this time

lol aw i think if u have 2 then 3 4 or whatever doesnt make a difference! we have all already learnt how to multitask and share by that point! lol i had 2 from a previous relationship and the younger 2 i have with my h2b, and they are both girls, so i feel a bit compelled to have another to give him a boy too, even though he doesnt mind, he treats them all as his own, i just cant help but feel broody lol although the birth of number 4 was very good at putting me off anymore and still does! lol oh yes steph, the dizzy spells too! i remember those, they soon go and then resurface when ur 7-8 months and carrying some weight! lol

aw thanks! i can think of a few things, brave, stupid, insane lol but each to their own isnt it, and if the children are healthy and happy then who cares how many u have, if its 1 or 10. has anyone seen the programme about the duggans, that have 19 kids i think it is?! i cannot imagine doing the cooking and washing for that family! lol

We have two little horrors I say this because they should both be asleep by now and I can hear them playing in their room They are sharing atm and are Alex 3 (4 in november) and Evie 16 months. We both want another baby and are kind of ttc I say that because I may have to put plans on hold to adopt my brothers baby when its born x

Well it might be too late lol as ive been getting cramps and needing to pee all the time. Well if my brothers gf is pregnant I will need to adopt it or it will get taken away. Tbh im feeling like ill be glad when its all over! xx

Well if im not pregnant I will put my plans on hold till I know whats happening with my brothers baby, even though my brother is being a right tw@t to me at the moment, swearing and shoting at me etc just befor emy wedding too! but at the ned of the day its my niece or nephew and ill do what i can to protect it x

exactly! my mum said aswell if that happens its my way of getting four children like me and oh wanted as ive had sections i can only safley have one more baby!

Hi ladies, i am 15 weeks pregnant with our first :) We came off the pill in Nov 2011 and i fell in March. I have shared care as have a medical issue but so far all is good. I have consultant on Monday at the hospital and then Midwife for 16 week app on tuesday and then our 20 week scan is on the 25th July where we are hoping to find out whether we are expecting a boy or a girl.

I would love another babby but oh stubbornly wanted a vasectomy and had it last summer ;o( sometimes i see it as a selfish act as he knew i would have liked one more after i had finished my nursing, anyway we have 1 of each a son whos 5 next month and our daughter will be 3 a week before christmas, i fell pregnant straight away on our son and our daughter after stopping the pill my pregnancies were joys except i had to be induced on both of them x

Hi again all! Another question, did any of you go off food esp dairy!? I know I need to eat any tricks to beat the lose of apatite? Before I loved eating and never had any issues! Oh and I'm ever so emotional already at 5 weeks! When did the hormones start for you? xxx
