how do you think i feel, everyone around me falling pregnant or telling me their trying...its the one thing I want to be able to say im doing too but can't at the moment! Just enjoy your time together and it'll happen when the time and moment is right for you!

MrsD - yes gorgeous now shush! And can say what i like when i like, because you're hormonal hehehe!

Lea - only downside to finding out so early on, you have to wait for that first scan, but 3 weeks is nothing, it will be here before you know it! over half way through this week already :D

bless you ladies :) i can only imagine what itll be like waiting for those all important scan dates. but easier said than done i know, try not to let it worry you too much!! u no what they say... moms to be need to try to relax and be as stress free as possible so try not to let all the little things pile up... everything is fine!! You're both showing pregnancy symptoms which is basic baby speak for 'mom im fine, leave me be in my nice cosy toasty oven, you can see me in a few weeks but for now im quite content and nice at home... now bugger off so i can go have a little snooze...' and in MrsD's case - p!ss off or ill kick you...!! x

I keep trying not to worry or get anxious about not being pregnant and just try to relax about it but we want to start the family so much.

Thanks hun. Half the problem is i think is that hubby likes watching tv late which then means often he is just too tired and between us we get up very early every morning.

IDL just pounce on him on a weekend, spontaneity is a good factor when it comes to TTC. jump on him when he's watching tv lol

If you try for more than a year like two that's when they will think you might need help or tests anything between 6 months to a year for trying is seen as normal just stressing for us Ladies so breathe and pounce on hubby and get down with your bad self get freaky and lost of all enjoy yourself have fun ;)X

bless you InD!! You're going down the wrong route, you're going to end up putting to much pressure on yourself... it can and does take time and i know everyone tells you to hold in there but it will happen when its ready!
.not necessarily pouncing as such but the whole spontaneity & not so much thought put into it...
as both MrsD and Lea said... once they stopped focusing on it and focussing their thoughts elsewhere it took... just time and patience! as like most things...

Ladies should I do the pregnancy test Friday on 5weeks 7days or on the actual start if the 6th week so Saturday instead?? been waiting all week to do a test but sil says I should do the test on Saturday what meh do ?? xx

I need a blood test but got to for a course for a week on Monday 3rd Feb to Friday 7th Feb so will have to go to the Doc next week =D <3 X

No I wasn't on the pill or any hormonal contraception so we only needed to stop using condoms.

my MIL told me last night that she can't wait for the 20 week scan, she didn't realise that she didn't find out at the 12 week one and was gutted. so instead of waiting she is paying for us to go for a private gender scan so she can find out what we are having lol

I'm so annoyed with my local hospital trust. I had my 12 week dating scan at one of their hospitals. Then moved within the county and referred to another hospital (still in the same trust). I rang the new hospital today regarding my anomaly scan (20week) as I'm nearly 19 weeks along and haven't heard a thing. It turns out that I have an appointment next Wednesday, but I haven't received the appointment through the post. NOT ONLY THAT! They have booked me in for another dating scan!!! So now, I've been waiting all day for a phone call to see whether the appointment is going to change or not. It's a nightmare!

So my appointment is definitely next Thurs at 9:05. But due to the mix up at the hospital, it's not the anomaly scan. They're going to try and do the details. But may need another scan.

Oh well! Not going to argue if I get an extra scan! The receptionist said it was the booking scan for the hospital, but surely it shouldn't be needed if it's the same trust?! No wonder they were put in special measures after the keogh report!!

Actually, can I ask a personal question ladies.

How much have you or should you save up if planning to take a whole year maternity leave from work? Have you calculated a set amount and saved before trying? Have you got a particular calculation for how much is best to save?

Idl think it depends on how much you were on before mat leave...basic maternity pay is about £140 a week isn't it? So I'd say you need to work out the difference between your normal wage and that...then add on the extra 3months of wages if you're taking a full year that you would take unpaid then maybe divide it by a set number of weeks to see how much you'd need to put aside a week to comfortably live on??

I dunno about pregnancy ... As h2b doesn't have any children,obv I know I can but he worries that he can't as he's never physically tried but I have told him that probably everyone goes through that when they initially start trying ... Told him to stop worrying or it could end up being that that hinders us x

Thing is...if you earn £2k a month for say then that's £6k just for the last 3months unpaid!? So I would say what you've come up with is about right ... Wowee u don't think it's as much really do u!x

Oh yeah child benefit is £20 per week for your first child but that's only if h2b earns under £40k a year x

I forgot about child benefit. Hubby earns around £40k per year gross if you include the overtime he works.

Is it £40k?

Don't know if they include overtime, you might have to look into it...
Don't think you'll qualify for tax credits because as a couple I think you're earning too much x
