Flu jab today not looking forward to it but got to have it so me get it a week before I am seen by the midwife because I'm naughty like that also see my doc ask about stronger indigestion medicine and ask about this cough n if I can take a pill for a headache keep getting them quite frequently since being pregnant I hardly used to get any before Xxx

Couldn't get the flu jab as I have a cough which I have had for weeks now and I don't want antibiotics for it and didn't prescribe ME anything stronger for my indigestion and acid reflux says it could be the acid being sent up one my chest making me cough so that was pointless me going to the docs today and when I go to my midwife appointment have to tell them was unable to get the flu jab due to my cough which is subsiding and my chest is clear I know this basically been told to have gaviscon morning noon and night everyday to neutralise the acid so no help just suffer the whole of your pregnancy thanx doc for nothing

I don't have a bad cough that I need antibiotics but cough sweets aren't helping when I had them and the full on indigestion is awful and causing my cough so had to stick to taking the gaviscon Xxx

How did you end up with bronchitis I hope you gt well soon Kelly hope you don't need to go on more antibiotics you need to put your feet up and look after yourself you shouldn't he working if you have bronchitis you need to get it out of your system for you and baby Xxx

Just chilling with a baby pregnancy magazine, got my black birthing nightshirt and dark towels for labour sorted, few more bits left to get then that's the bags sorted

I think it's just not happening for me because I am always so busy, stressed out and tired.

I agree with Mrs Mann enjoy Christmas and let your Christmas story unfold haven't even thought about a hospital bag yet Dunnoe what to put on their to be honest I know Babie outfit nappies booties mittens etc but for me no clear and I'm sure they're lots more Xxx

Baby doesn't need much. You however need a fair bit:

Labour:
T shirt/ night shirt
Tankini (water birth)
Towel
Flannel
Mags
Sweets
Energy drink
Food full of energy
Maternity pads - to catch waters

After birth:
Maternity pads - thick ones lots
Breast pads
Nipple cream / one in the purple tube - best one
Pjs two pairs
Towel
Shampoo
Soap
Baby wipes
Big knickers black


Sure there's more just can't remember, I packed and unpacked mine loads

Oh I know lol

Make sure the black knickers are huge. Just in case of any complications and you need a c section.

25 week appointment went great today,3 weeks til my next scan :-)

What are you hoping for?

My colleague had a baby girl at 12.04 am weighing 8 lb 5.5 ... 9 days early, so chunky!

I haven't got a midwife appointment now til 10th feb... Just because I've got my scan in 2 weeks so they'll do my bloods etc x

Nope they don't see you much to be honest. Your supposed to see health visitor a lot when you've had them but I haven't seen mine since 4 weeks. Was supposed to see her at 6 weeks but she had car trouble and was supposed to reschedule. Never did. And I've been diagnosed with PND. Useless.

ONe thing to add to the list is plenty of change for the carpark, but this depends on how your hospital works. We have so many come in and don't have any change.

Energy drink, make sure it is the flat kind and not fizzy, you will only see it return.

Yep change for car park and deffo energy drink but not fizzy will have to remember that powerade not fizzy stick to that I guess not lucozade

I can't believe I'm 4months already and coming up to 5months when I look in weeks it seems I have so long to go when I actually don't Sunday 17weeks+0days this coming Sunday end of 4months I just cannot believe it maube this pregnancy will fly by

So.. I have some news. Yes you guessed it, I'm joining this thread as a fully fledged participant!
We found out about 10 weeks ago that our little family is going to be expanding by one at the end of June :-)

We finally told family Mon, Tues and Christmas Day! Yes we waited that long, and am currently 14 weeks!

It is all still very surreal to me and half the time I am still in shock over it. We are both very happy and excited though of course!! I've been wanting to tell my UKB family for a while now but as the thread went quiet I didn't think too!

If anyone does read this please don't post on FB if you have me on there for the time being, there are some personal work related reasons that it cant go up just yet but in time will be able to...!

Lulu OMG I have been waiting to hear your pregnant too your 14wks already congratulations im so happy for you what are you hoping to have Christmas was good for is my family n husbands fsmily for together are chilled it's was lovely all mils idea they left at 12 I'm should be finding out what I'm having on New Years Eve so be on the look out for the news Xxx

Yeh MrsDtobe it was a bit of surprise to be fair! Happened quite quickly and still hasnt really sunk in! Yup, 14 weeks.
To be honest we're just hoping for a happy healthy little baby I haven't got a preference and still not 100% sure whether I want to find out in Feb or not! MrD is adamant to find out but I'm still not sure haha.

Glad you had a lovely Christmas & I bet you can't wait for tomorrow, do you have a preference? What a lovely way to bring in the New Year!

We decided to come off the pill middle of Sept, and apparantly took straight away so yes I know I'm definitely a lucky one, but we had no stresses and weren't thinking about trying.. they do say putting it to the back of your mind and not thinking about it is definitely the more successful way but everyone is different, we obviously just caught it straight away! We were the naive type being like oh yeh we'll come off, and as I've been on it so many years itll take a few months to get out the system etc and maybe in the New Year actively start trying etc! But apparantly thats not how nature intended, and 4 weeks later, and NINE pregnancy tests, and alot of hands shaking, definitely very lucky.
I haven't *touch wood* suffered to badly with any symptoms so it was quite easy to hide! I had severe nausea for a few weeks and mainly just tiredness so its not been too bad so far.
We didnt tell ANYONE as in not even family till last week and definitely was a lot harder after the scan. But we knew Christmas was 10-14 days away so couple more weeks wouldn't hurt! And also theres been a situation with a colleague at work so hasn't been on the tip of my tongue to spill to be fair. Hence why cant say anything on FB for a while.

Oh I can totally understand why your parents don't want to know, my folks didnt know what they were having with me or my brother so its just how they're used to it! MrD definitely wants to know and I'm half n half! I'm sure by Feb my mind will be 100% on finding out, but at moment I still like the idea of surprise, but again its partially due to me still finding this whole pregnancy very surreal! Some days I still don't believe its happening!

yeh im not showing yet or any signs of a slight bump yet. but i put on a lot of weight before pregnancy so thats probably why. Once I get the next scan and start to feel then obviously I'm sure itll kick in! I love bed so the tiredness isnt an issue for me but just waiting for it to finally sink in!

Just ordered my hospital bag dunnoe how big it should be so ordered two n a new shoulder bag may use the smaller bag for mini D n bigger bag for MummyDeaton2B they should arrive Friday I'll take a pic n post up on here see what you ladies think won't sort every thing out yet for hospital bag till May I's closer Xxx

18wks +3days unfortunately we don't know the sex Baby Deaton closed little legs baby laying wrong way as always Baby laying with the back towards me Xxx
