Right, what happened was we told them we were getting married..... Same time i asked for his sister and her little girl to be bridemaids she was very happy... 2 days later she said the little girl will be starting school that year at 4 1/2 and asked steve to change the date he went made.. So left it at that, 2 saturdays after that i went to steves nans on my own to take my mum and sister to meet them. His mum and sister at different times corned me asking me to change the date, noone else at this time realsied, i come away ver upset. 3 days after that steve and his mum had major fall out and steve said he would never speak to her again and didnt want her at the wedding ( she said all i am after is stevs house that has been left to him by his nan )
So me being the nice person ,made my self ill, then last sunday i rung his mum to make her aware i new what was going on, she said she didnt mean it like that, well i said you have hurt me. She then said steve doesnt want her to go and i said i will talk him around, which i did and phoned to tell her , she was very off with me, then asking for me to get steve to ring her, which no way on earth will he!!!!
So today i texts his sister the one who caused the trouble to ask if they was going as i wanted to get flower girl dresses, she said yes, then asked about her being a bridesmaid, i said im sorry i have picked someone else when we new you wasnt coming and then she went in to one with me....
Im at a loose end i really am with all this going on. His mum thinks is going to be a rubbish wedding with no reception, wel she is so wrong, as you can hear im having a terrible time, im in tears

gemma try stay strong unfortunaly this seems to be a big part of weddings, other family members causing upset, it's ur big day not there's and if they don't like that is it really a big issue not having them there? my family can be exactly the same,why can't people just be happy for others

They want me to change the date to August, for Steves niece who has not even started school, his sister doesnt want to take her out, my point is she is not 3 till next week and when we go she will be 4 1/2 Then she started saying about she should be briesmaid , i said you was till you said you wasnt going!!

if she doesn't want to take her out of school, she doesn't have to go!!! she's going into primary 1 for goodness sake!! what's she going to miss?? some colouring?!?!?!
i'm taking my daughter out of school for 2 weeks and my sil2b is taking her 2 kids out for a week. my bm is taking her son out of school for a week too. it's not like they're being taken out for a holiday (which i would never do), it's a wedding!!
if she is still giving you problems, just tell her not to worry about coming over and you'll find another flowergirl.

I agree!! My son (5) my neice (4) and my moh son (3) will all be coming and they'll be out of school for the week but I havent had any complaining as they are only in nursery/infants so wont be missing out on much like you say.

Dress added now, let me no if you can see it, im having it made in a smaller size and more sweetheart style. I no for god sake she will be 4 1/2 so what will she miss nothing! only 5 days of school!
