I think the years and pics would be lovely you could even have a few pics per table number so they could be you best moments of the year

That is what I am hoping. I just don't want our tables to look too busy as our centrepieces are quite big xx will give it a test run at some point

Not much else to do for this year though which is a bit sad. Might have to bite the bullet and pack it all away for next year

I need to do a dry run on the invites but not really sure what's going on haha. bought some stamps and tags to finish my favors but they cant be done until we have all rsvps and are ready to go etc so I will do one for a test and then they can go in the loft

With a may wedding Im not really sure how much I should do next year or how much needs to be done in 2018 itself which seems a bit scary lol

    They are really cute Stacey!

I keep having doubts on mine I think because its been so long since I have seen them, I did bugger up on the size as they don't actually fit any envelop properly so they are going to have to go in one that is too big haha! doh!

But I think once I have a proper dry run I will love them again

I don't think its a major problem you just throw the envelope away anyway, I might see if I can cut a bit off the height and see if they fit into something then but no rush on this, I am not changing them now though I spent ages cutting those buggers out ahah.

    We shall see.

Just found out my OH family dynamic is changing a bit which could effect our guestlist. Not ideal timing as I need to sort save the dates lol .. typical though

Hope it won't cause you too much stress! I think when the RSVP's come back that's when we will hit the stress, I've heard of people adding extra names to the RSVP's so I've put my contact number so people have to speak to me about it and I will be telling them straight.

I think its just going to be plus ones that will be the issue. We have two people that we are allowing to have their partners there with another two who are friends who could have plus one's by the time we marry and then we have cousins who could potentially have a plus one but if they do they won't be getting an invite cause I will probably have never met them.

One of our ushers is single and every time my OH mentions he has a date, or like one of our couple friends have just found out they are expecting I'm like what about the guest list argh. We have a limit of 75 day guests and we are at 75 potential guests but so much can happen in 18 months I think I'm going to have a few nightmares nearer the time

Plus ones can be a touchy subject but I've just said to my OH that we will cherish the day and the photos of the day for years to come, you don't want to be 20 years down the line asking who was that x

My thoughts exactly Kathleen, me and my mum were looking at her photos and all of my uncles had girlfriends there that they aren't with now. I don't mind for those who are in a serious relationship but for those who are younger like our cousins they may change partners several times by the time we get married.

My mum asked about my uncles partner who he is "engaged" to apparently and I said I hadn't included her because I had only met her once and she is unlikely to want to travel down to Wolverhampton to travel with my uncle up to Derby. She didn't like that too much but I told her we had maxed out our numbers and if I say yes to her now she will only keeping adding people.

    Hey ladies!

Love the idea of naming the tables after years with your photo together.

We have authors. I'm a complete bookworm. H2b and I met while I was studying for my degree in English Literature, he must have been keen he read my full set text list. My problem is narrowing down my list of authors!

I'm dreading the RSVP's. I don't think our guest list will change but who knows!

As I am a March bride I won't be taking too much of a break. Once Christmas is over we will be cracking on. We also need to convert my three bed semi into a four bedroom. So between wedding planning we have some huge house renovations to complete.

Future father in law is remarrying in February as well. Future step daughter is bridesmaid and I have to get her ready on the morning, which I am perfectly happy to do. BUT... I asked h2b about shoes, tights, cardigan/jacket, any hair accessory or style. Of course being a man he had no idea but said he would speak to his future step mother to find out.

The answer came back as we don't know. We have no idea. We haven't thought about that.

Then H2b mentions his dad and fiancé haven't sent out their evening invitations. They sent the day invites out back in August. I know their venue as it was one we rejected and they are going to want numbers just before Christmas.

It did make me think maybe I am far too organised for my own wedding!

I think this all the time Lynsey.

As for the RSVP scenario, OH and I are both set firm on no plus ones unless we know them, the only exception we have made to this is for his cousin from Manchester mainly because she is single and I feel really guilty about her coming all this way to sit on her own with people she doesn't know (none of her direct family will be there as OH family is very complicated) so we have allowed her a plus one. We are definitely sticking firm, its my day not theirs and if they want to call me bridezilla or whatever because I wont have a stranger there they are welcome too lol.

what can I say I am pure evil mwahahhah

Hi ladies! You've been busy on here today! My dress has arrived today, only just got home after spending the day at my parents so I'll have to try it on when OH isn't around. The petticoat hasn't arrived yet anyway.

I'm with Liz on the plus 1 scenario, I've said unless we've met these people that want to bring a date, they aren't getting a plus 1 so they can just bring anyone they want.

Haven't had notice of it being dispatched yet, so I have a bit of time to wait. My bridesmaid is getting very impatient to see me in it lol. I showed the dress to my mum yesterday and she was impressed with how well made it is, so that's a good start.

The card came for my save the dates yesterday so started printing them out. The ink isn't drying on it straight away so I have a few that have smudged. I've printed out a few more and laid them out to hopefully air dry for a while and then it'll be fine. If it doesn't dry properly I'm going to be gutted!

It is very slightly shiny I guess. The ink is almost dry after 24 hours. I might get some fixing spray that you can use on pastel drawings to stop them smudging. Might help.

When I was making my save the dates I was just using an ink pad and stamp with some little cards and the ink took over 24 hours to dry had to leave them all out on the table cause I kept smudging them, used my hair dryer in the end on the lowest setting just to make sure.

Finally had the save the date through from my OH brother. Safe to say it's not something I would have chosen. I hate to be one of "those" brides but I just don't like it. All it is, is embossed writing on white card. I can hardly read it. But each to their own I guess!

Wizbit89 I love your table idea we are doing something similar we would of been together 10 years when we get married and are naming each table after places where we have been together over the years (we've travelled quite a bit) and accompaning the named table idea will be a picture of us in that country with a small description of what we did there :)

Also girls I managed to grab a great Black Friday deal from my florist, She had a offer if you spent over 250.00 on wedding stationary (which we needed) she will chuck in a free wedding table plan which is great because we wanted one of them. We got quite a bit of stationary for the price we paid which includes a post box :) so I'm really happy. Did you girls get any good deal from wedding suppliers? x

I just tried the dress on ladies, and it fits like a glove! well apart from having a bit of excess fabric up at the shoulders as I don't have very broad shoulders myself. But other than that it fits perfectly and the petticoat is awesome too. Unfortunately, doesn't give me much incentive to lose weight as it fits... but I am still going to try and lose a bit before the big day, as it needs adjusting anyway, what the hell?

So happy to here that Em, it really does sound like a fabulous dress. Adjustments at the shoulders are fairly easy to be done (I needed it doing for my graduation dress). I think its amazing how you still have the motivation to lose weight I would probably give up haha. Go for it and do whatever makes you happy.

I'm amazed that I have managed to get a dress (with petticoat) for £96. Ruddy marvellous hehe. I have this horrible feeling that I'll end up spending more on shoes or something ridiculous though!

I have been wanting to lose weight anyway, ready for when we have kids more than anything. Want to be able to run around after the little b*ggers. I would like to lose about 10 stone eventually, and I know that'll take a while, so sooner I start the sooner I'll get there. I'd rather lose it slowly than big chunks.

Even though we plan on buying a house in the new year, hopefully I'll get through the stress of it alright without falling off the Slimming World wagon too much.

I've sorted out my first round of Save the Dates over the weekend, so they are ready to be sent off to the guests in America and Canada. Printed out another batch yesterday which are now drying. Fingers crossed they survive being posted.
