I stumbled across our photographer at a wedding fayre. She was so nice and I felt an instant click with her when she came to meet with h2b and I. We are supposed to have our engagement photo shoot at the beginning of April. I may need to reschedule but going to wait until I see the consultant on Friday.

I found my photographer and videographer through groups on book of face and I was really dubious but after having a consultation with both they are a perfect fit for us. Paying 380 for the video full day bridal prep to first dance and 450 for photographer full day bridal prep to first dance plus visit to the groom, usb stick and photo album.

450 days to go not long till i see 365 :)

Trying my dress on with my veil this evening to see what they look like together and so MIL can see the dress. I can't believe she hasn't even looked at it once! It's been at her house in its bag for months.

Stacey you will look stunning! We all go through the doubt stage but it does pass. Don't be afraid to go and try it on as much as you want. The shop I got mine from were amazing at putting my mind at rest. At my worst point I was in there 4 times in one week! They didn't moan once and once my dress was paid in full they said I could bring it home and take it to them for any alterations and to be cleaned etc if I wished. Most places are the same.

Thanks ladies, I think I'm just worried about losing the weight more than anything, and I have a few questions about the dress like should I have an underskirt and things like that. Been feeling pants for days now as well which hasn't helped at all.

Our florist is booked for £500 total might change slightly as I think we may need to add in one or two more buttonholes but that includes:
    Bridal bouquet
    4 bridesmaids bouquets (1 artificial)
    3 flower girl wands
    8 buttonholes
    2 pedestal arrangements/1 altar arrangement
    8 martinin glass arrangements
    1 top table arrangements
    3 thanks you bouquets
    4 corsages
    throwing bouquet

    I think that is everything

Aww bless, hope your feeling better soon hun. You've just reminded me I need to get a hooped underskirt for my dress.

Tired my dress with my veil last night and MIL loved it. I almost cried at her response and the veil looks amazing so I'm pleased I went for a new one. Have to try and maintain my weight now as if I loss anymore the dress will fall off me.

Still not heard from venue! Have emailed twice, rang 4 times and even gone in. If not heard anything buy Wednesday we will have to find somewhere else :(

It was awful, hope I don't get too many of these dreams :(

Seating plan question....We are having 150 guests at our ceremony and wedding breakfast. Due to the shear number of guests we are having a buffet style wedding breakfast rather than a sit down meal (which would be impossible at the venue we want). Would you do a seating plan or just let guests pick a seat?

I'm coming up to the 12 month mark, eek! How did that happen!?!?

Doctor has signed me off work for 4 weeks. Swelling and bruising is easing slowly. Don't see the hospital again until the 16th March.

Jenny I'm doing my own make up. I found MUA very expensive, most were quoting £400+. I would rather spend the money elsewhere.

Had an email of the head of the venue today apologizing about the fact it has taken so long for us to re-book them for the wedding. He was not impressed at all that other staff members would not help. As a goodwill gesture he has wiped the deposit and is sticking by the original quote we got back in 2016 (for the original wedding date this year) and has even added some freebies!!

This was totally unexpected as I hadn't even complained to them about anything. I also completely understood why the other staff would not re-book it, as money had already exchanged hands for the original date and they didn't want to mess anything up and it end up costing us more. Most of them volunteer and are not allowed to handle money matters anyway.

I think I have solved the order of service problem. I wasn't sure if we needed one as aren't marrying in a church but while looking on 3t5y I found order of service confetti bags! Messaged h2b with the link and we both think they are perfect! We can't order until we have confirmed our ceremony with the registrar but I've added the seller to my favourites.

They sound ace Lynsey never heard of them before.

From day one of being engaged my OH has been joking about him and his groomsmen wearing different neon coloured pimp suits for the wedding...Luckily my MIL and BIL talked him out of it lol. Anyway as a joke I have just ordered them all some neon socks with their role on which I'm going to ask them to wear. I'm also thinking of getting an orange (OH fav neon colour) hooped underskirt for my dress. OH hasn't got a clue lol. Can't wait to see the look on his face.

What hidden Neon stuff could I get for the brides maids? The neon bits are more for some fun photo's rather than on show during the ceremony.

H2b and I spent a good hour cutting the twine off the cream tags and re-threading with pink ribbon. Well h2b did most of the work, I can't use scissors with my left hand. I did manage to thread the ribbon. 20 down, 40 to go. These are for our favour bags. I need to find a stamp. My original plan was to handwrite our names and wedding with the calligraphy pen. But as my wrist is broken I'm trying to ease the pressure on myself. Any recommendations on where to buy a personalised stamp? I don't want to spend a fortune.

Could try 3bay or 3t5y Lynsey might find some nice ones on there or head to the rang3 or h088ycraft I know they do stamps you might be able to personalise it yourself.

Partner has really been too excited either but the best man started getting some ideas for the stag and that got him more involved too... men are strange like that Tiffany. He will hate it next year when he has to help me but I have a plan for that.

I'm so lucky with my h2b, he is really interested in the wedding. We are going to a fayre at our venue on the weekend. I need him to sit down and write a list for me. I tried writing on the weekend. It wasn't readable and my arm ached after.

Thank you ladies, will try the places suggested.

Yesterday found out my wedding date is my uncles birthday! I feel awful that I forgot. He passed last year so we've decided we are having a remembrance table with everyone on that sadly is no long with us....Plus a birthday cake for my uncle so we can celebrate our two days in one. People may think we are strange but I couldn't care less.

I will also be having a single red rose with 2 Ivory roses one either side in my hair for my sister and 2 of my uncles. Our colour scheme is pale pink, ivory and sliver so the red will stand out nicely but will it stand out too much?

What a lovely idea Tiffany, we are having photos of those no longer with us in the church on the side they would have been sitting and going to make them each a small buttonhole.

Started painting my photo board last night, I'm putting photos of family members weddings and photos from mine and OH's childhood.

Saw our venue decorator today. She is lovely and I honestly could not be happier with how today has gone. She had some amazing ideas and even took into account the added safety precautions we have to take for my nephew and our son food allergies ( she is doing our son his very own sweet buffet with all 'safe foods').

To top it off the person who took me (my brothers friend) is a dj and entertainer and has said he will do a disco, karaoke and bouncy castle for free! He can also get us our venue for half price or a different venue (on we did really like) for free as well.

OH is being a d1ck about it all. He was ment to help me make final decision on decorations last night and he went out until I had gon to bed instead. Tempted to plan the whole thing without and if he don't like it's tough. (obviously I wont do this as its his day as much as mine but I'm so annoyed with him right now.)

We've spent the last 4 weekends going to a wedding Fayre- have struggled to find a photographer we like and that is free- we found one- he got booked and since then nothing compared- went to meet one on Saturday- it was a company that are independent but work as a collective so photographer, flowers, cakes, venue styling, all in one room- such a good idea- we loved the venue styling venue but not photographer so will see what she quotes us!

Yesterday we went to another Fayre and found cars- going tonight to look at them and hopefully books vintage cars that are proper vintage and not modern cars to look old!

Also found another photographer who We loved his work- his wife was at the fair but he was working- so on Saturday we are meeting him at our venue- fingers crossed we clock with him- his wife was really personable so hope he is too- I really never knew until you start looking how difficult it is to find the right photographer that you like the pictures and the photographer- it's a massive part of the day so to me it is important to find the right person!

Slowly ticking off the big things and love how involved OH has been- next will be BM- not asked 1 yet- she's coming over to ours 14th April and we are cooking so going to ask her then- can then start looking at dresses :-)

I know what you mean about it all being real- but I love it :-)

Why do people not understand how stressful planning a wedding is? I am sick of people telling me I have to do this and I have to do that, so and so has to be invited or if so and so if there I'm not coming! Not to mention the endless messages from people moaning about there partners or kids or something, you helping them and calming them down but the min you need something there deaf and blind.

Ready to break down again and give up :'(

Thanks hun. Just having one of those days and to top it off we have decided to change venues for our reception. They have become very rude and demanding and they have sold their car park so there is now no parking. Plus we completely forgot about the night club directly opposite, which will be hell on a Saturday night.

One step forward, about three steps back at the moment. I'm sure tomorrow will be better.

Oh Tiffany so sorry to hear the venue became that way, look at the positives though you won't be near a night club, you will have parking for your guest and the new venue will want to have your event there so will probably be better for you in the end.

The next year will fly by Lynsey! Glad your pot is now off. Fingers crosses all is healing as it should be.

Ordered the FG dresses today. Cream embellished, princess style dresses with a big flower on the side. H2B instantly fell in love with them, I had to sleep on it but am so glad we picked them now. They are beautiful. Had to order them in an age 8 tho as that's the smallest age they did. The girls will be 6 but they are very tall. Going to get them taken in 6 weeks before the wedding.

Mum has opened an account in her name for us to put the money in for the wedding. Done it this way so we can not dip into it, we are terrible at saving. She is also going to keep the bank card for us and will come with me when I need to buy bits off etc. Due to card being her name I won't be able to authorise large amounts being paid over the card etc.

The friend who is doing the dj etc for free is now on the hunt for a venue for us a discounted cost. Due to his job he has worked at them all many times and can pull some strings for us. :D

Waiting for invoice from decorator so we can start paying her. I'm getting impatient lol.
