Wedding Forum - Official 2017 thread!!...

Nicole, mine used to my at my parents house so could sneak peaks. But is now at the shop were getting my bridesmaid dress from. Locked away from me!!

Well, as I said before, I am a bit lost about decoration for the wedding. Still working on that, no progress made so far. Thinking about booking with the venue to go over and have a look to see what we can do. We are not having a top table, so I am trying to understand how to set the tables and where to put the cake. In Brazil, there is no top table and the cake table is basically the most important table in the wedding (who doesn't love cakes?! lol) I am thinking about having it where the top table was supposed to be, with a backdrop with lights and the favours around the cake (they are pinecone candles - I am working on them this weekend).

Managed to get most of the bits for the bms and mothers gifts. A satin robe + a glass of wine (that I am going to customise) + a small bottle of bubbly drinks. Just need the bits to customise the glasses and the boxes to fit everything in. It's gonna cost about £10/each, which I found good :)

Still got sooooo much to do. Need to organise!

Tried my dress on, ahhhhh its beautiful! Need a fair bit off the bottom and it taking in on the bum and boobs, not sure what thats doing to cost, but I want it to fit like a glove, I've not been doing a million squats for no reason hahahaha x

So I'm sitting here at 12.15am! Can't sleep I think the nerves are really starting to kick in now :0
I've got a million things just going around in my head and I just can't switch off! I hope this isn't a start of sleepless nights and my pre wedding nerves kicking in! I've got school run in the morning!

Wundatigga hope the house move goes smoothly - you're very brave doing both a wedding and a house move! I thought we were sensible, but now I'm wondering if it was just too much stress! I constantly want to do things with the house rather than the wedding, oops!

Went into a brides store at the weekend after realising that I was leaving it VERY late to order bridesmaid dresses. I'd been looking online but I was too scared in case they didn't look like they did on the models (bearing in mind that neither of my bms are size 8), if I order the dresses now they won't arrive until the last week of September - one week before the wedding!! Luckily I've managed to express deliver them and they will arrive early September now instead to allow time for alterations. They aren't exactly the style I wanted but they look nice and they were far cheaper than the ones I really wanted.

My dress should arrive this week so the fun begins in trying to lose some more weight to fit into it, joy! I'm hoping the seamstress can leave it until August time before she does anything so I have a bit more time. She will definitely need to take the dress up but other than that it should be fine as ordered. Thank goodness for corsets!

Where does time fly eh?! Toni I'm feeling your anxiety and I'm still 4 months away from my big day! But I'm sure you're much more organised than you think you are and everything is in place :-)

Wundatigga you look beautiful! Good choice, and different from other styles you see, thumbs up! I've been feeling the same, I have a trial booked, which I'm panicking about incase they are no good, then I have to have a totally different HMUA in Vegas who will have photos from the first lady to try and copy....if the first ones rubbish then I'm stuck lol.

I can't decide hair up, hair down, hair half up, to tiara to not tiara, it's so difficult but would hate to look back at my photos and thing ugh what was I doing.....I'm sure everybody goes through this lol x

I have my make up trial and hen party tomorrow! Can't wait but the weather is going to be awful! going to have to get one of those full body umbrellas :')

20 days to go and things are mental! Still have a lot to do, just little bits and pieces - wish I had been as organised as you, Emily! X

10 days to go!! It's going way too quick now! Finished all our wedding favours over the weekend and all the bridesmaid/ grooms men boxes so they all ready to go! Finally got the H2B to get the suitcases out of the loft so I can start our honeymoon packing!! Had a lovely surprise from my work colleagues on Thursday they threw me a pre wedding party :) I wish I'd booked this week off
work there so much left to do, got my bridesmaid final fitting in Thursday, had my sons suit fittings last week too, they looked so brilliant! I'm going to be a crying mess when I see them in full on day! I was so nervous last week but today I feel relaxed! It's funny how your mind works! Can't believe I'm going to be a mrs soon!! :)

Eeek Toni - sounds like you've a lot to keep you busy over the next few days!! I am sure it will all come together beautifully for you x

I have my hen in 2 weeks and not sure what i need to plan for that. Its at my house so need to know whats going on to some degree

I bought a new top the other week and wasnt sure whether to keep it as i would need to alter it. Think i will and wear that. I'm only having a garden party at my house so don't need anything fancy.
I did want to wear white but not sure really if i can be bothered to go buy something

That doesn't make sense, surely they know who they have booked for your wedding and should it take that long to confirm? Especially if you have put it in the contract!

I've now had an email from the dj. Nothing from the venue... really annoyed but at least it's sorted

Its my hen in a couple of weeks - 1st July. Im just having a garden party at my house. My parents go away 4 days later so cant have it at theirs.

I text my mom and sister to make sure planning is going ok so on Wednesday we sat down to go through it all. They had done nothing at all. Friday my Mom come round and we made some decorations then Saturday we went shopping to buy some bits.

It's ok but I'm a little upset that if I hadn't sent the text nothing had been done and that I know everything that is happening. I even know the pass the parcel prizes! Just feeling a bit underwhelmed about it all...

Oh no Emily I feel for you, I was the same on my hen party I organised it did everyone party bags even had to chase everyone to make sure they paid in time! It was a complete nightmare, I had a great night but it got ruined at end of night! I wish I had stuck to my guns and not even bothered! But I did it more for everyone else than my self! I'm just glad 1 of my bridesmaids came to the rescue and booked for me and her to go on a spa day.....
I think you need to talk to them and say how your feeling about it all, your the bride you are supposed to be the one that feels special :)
