@Joanne I am studying a degree in Primary School Teaching at uni :) I was a children's librarian for about 8 years before that, never thought I would be the uni type but went along for an open day and now I am in my second year! Time flies, but I am really loving it, can't wait to get my own class.
@MrsD Our date is fixed now for 1/7/17 :) £200 sounds a great price, good luck snaffling her. And congrats too on your gold star as well as your new business! Sounds like a fab idea.
@Emily Those place settings are just GORGEOUS! Great idea buying little bits as you go, I hope to do the same.
@LadyC Wow finally booking a place and date must be so exciting, and the venue sounds wonderful! Congratulations. How did the Christening go, did the church look nice?

Sophie- me and my H2B went to a wedding fair earlier on at the Great Barr Hotel which has helped us get some ideas for our wedding. FutureMrsW- good luck I hope you fulfill your dreams
CommentAuthorEmily17
I went to a lot of fairs when we started booking but got a bit bored of them. I think as we have the main bits sorted now they are a little redundant for us. Although we did get our photographer from one and a few other ideas on what to do.
Thanks all :)

I am doing the 3 - 7 Early Years pathway too, I love it, such a great course. Should be finding out the school I'm on placement with this week, eeeeeee!
Theirs a wedding fair local to us but I don't see point in going when we are getting married 60miles away

Oh I'm so excited, we've as good as booked our reception venue. !!!! We're still waiting for confirmation of our wedding but they don't have their diaries open for 2017 until November/December. Luckily the reception venue says we can change the dates if we need to even after we pay deposit
CommentAuthorEmily17
Hi Sophie, Congratulations! So good of the venue to be lenient with the date for you. When are you hoping to have it?

Woo congratulations Sophie \o/ What kind of venue/theme have you decided on?
CommentAuthorSophieTimmins2B
Hi Emily, thanks! I think they're only being lenient as they have no other bookings as of yet for 2017 AND they've only just started hiring out the hall for weddings.
Hi FutureMrsW, thanks! We don't have a theme as such but our colours are silver, grey, ivory and lilac.
I've also found the perfect centre pieces....they're just so "us". We're not having a sit down meal so we're making an extra effort on decorations! Will post a piccy in my photo albums if anyone wants to be nosey lol x

SophieTimmins2B- congratulations on getting your venue booked even though you haven't set a date yet. Me and my H2B are hopefully not to have a sit down meal either because we just want to have a buffet which will last through the night with about 40-50 guests. ErinP42- that's really good
CommentAuthorSophieTimmins2B
Thanks Joanne, I realise at out of the ordinary to book reception when the ceremony hasn't been booked but luckily they said we can change the date if we can't get that at the registry office!

Love the colour scheme Sophie, love silver/grey and ivory which is shot we are having, I was wondering if we needed to add another colour too, I quite like teal too :-)
CommentAuthorJoanneH4
FallonS46- that's great news. I'm glad that you have set a date
CommentAuthorSophieTimmins2B
Michelle - Teal would be a lovely addition. We had lilac and silver at our engagement party and loved the colours together so much we decided to stick with it :)
CommentAuthorMichelleC961
Yeah I kinda feel we need another color, especially for bm dresses etc
CommentAuthorSophieTimmins2B
If you don't want too much of a colour you could just have coloured sashes for their dresses or accessories like headbands and their flowers???
CommentAuthorFutureMrsW
LOVE teal and works so well with purple/silver! :)
CommentAuthorJoanneH4
That's a lovely colour theme. Our colour theme is pink, blue, red and purple x
CommentAuthorMrs D2B
Congratulations Sophie on booking your reception and also to FallonS for setting your date and venue!! Were also going silver, our over all colour scheme is black silver with splashes of red to brighten it up a little. were doing all the decorations black and silver, the bm dresses will be black bouquets will be white with some silver in (broaches maybe?), my bouquet will be white and silver with a splash of red in it and we will all have really sparkly silver shoes haha

That's my venue booked & got the conformation email in (that needs a couple of tweaks to have all the right details) but deposit paid & date finalized we're getting married 4/11/17 a Saturday (the Sunday will be exactly 10 years since we started dating). Even got a colour picked (red) ans going to see photographer in 2 weeks (same one my sister has booked for her 2018 wedding) so she has offered us a discount rate so they match sister price (awesome). SOOOO Excited taken me 2 years to find a place and this one is perfect complete blank canvas for me & OH to do what we want with :)
CommentAuthorSophieTimmins2B
MrsD2B....your colours sound lovely and that pop of red will look fab! Congrats Erin, your plans sound fab!
Up until this afternoon we were getting married in a registry office with 16 guests, then my mum offered to pay for the church IF we wanted to do that. I would love to as it means ALL of our family & friends can come then, OH isn't too sure about being centre of attention in front of that many people..... X
CommentAuthorJoanneH4
ErinP32- that's good new that you have a date for your wedding. Congrats x SophineTimmins2B- you would have to talk to your H2B and take a decision whether you two want to get married at a registry office or at a church x
CommentAuthorSophieTimmins2B
So we're going with the church :) now we need to wait and find out if we can get married at the one we want x

Hey guys,
It's been a while since I've been on. Got the stds sorted now and made them into magnets.... I've attacked some pictures. Ordered the cards as business cards online and put my own design on (picture from the beach we got engaged on) then got some magnets off the bay and stuck them on the back with super glue. Hey presto! Lol bought mini envelopes for them as well and they'll being going out in Christmas cards at the end of next month :)
Letting everyone one makes it all a bit more real even though we've already put deposits down on the venue and registrar

Found some frames in £land for our memory table. There are 7 people who can't be at our wedding so we want a Photo of them as a memory that we are still thinking of them. The shop here doesn't have them in stock though, only 1. Thinking of getting OH to try at home or order online x

I found out I might not have the blue dress because at the wedding shop in walsall is not longer doing the disney collection and the blue dress of mine is the cinderella princess bridal gown. The good news is the dress on sale so if I do get the dress which I'm hoping to get, will be cheaper but it all depends on if I can have it
CommentAuthorMrs D2B
Morning ladies! My MOH has pressured me into booking an appointment for my first look at wedding dresses, got to admit I'm terrified. I know most ladies love this process but the thought of having to sift through hundreds of different dresses then pick a style and colour that suits me and then hope it's all within budget is a bit overwhelming (I hate shopping at the best of times, unless it's for shoes, I love shoe lol). So anyway I'm booked for Nov 14th. This next 8 weeks is going to be so busy for me, I'm of to Bournemouth next week for my sisters graduation, then h2b and I are going away for a child free weekend a week on friday, dress shopping on the 14th, I'm in charge of hosting a charity winter Market at work on the 15th, I'm also in charge of all things xmas at work so sorting out all entertainment bookings staff etc through Dec and on top of that at some point I need to find time to go have our engagement shoot done. I feel tired just thinking about it all lol

That's wore me out just reading all that MrsD2B....I too am booked for dress shopping, next Monday, and like you I'm worried that I won't be able to find anything x
CommentAuthorJoanneH4
Mrs D2B and SophineTimmins2B, it doesn't matter how many dresses you try on or how many shops you go to because when you find the dress then you will know it. Trust me, I knew it when I tried my dress that it was the dress of my dreams x
