Hiya everyone, sorry I've not been around so much as of late, absolutely manic housing wise atm and also back at uni now.
However have finally, officially handed in the booking form for the church and it's been accepted, and will be meeting the vicar soon. Eeeeep, it becomes really real then! Need to start thinking about out StDs, but that means deciding on the whole wedding stationary theme, and I'm not sure I'm ready for that quite yet *swoons*

How exciting FutureMrsW have you got a date in mind? You don't necessarily have to pick a stationary theme for the STD's my sister sent out a photo fridge magnet std's and we will be sending out photo xmas card std's so no need to panic yet lol. £200 for a videographer from getting ready to first dance and cutting the cake, is that a good price?

That's a very good price MrsD2B. Have you looked at their work to see if their work is the standard that you want? The photographer that me and my H2B is having does good work because he done the photos and a video for my uncle's wedding in 2009 and he done my prom photos and videos. It was good quality

his work looks amazing i was offerd a package for £250 with an equally amazing photographer which included a unlimited amount of photos on a disk but as its only going to be me and my h2b i feel 20photos are more than enough x

my handmade silk bouquet and grooms button hole is costing £50 which i thought was cheap and its a local lady making it.. i think getting married at gretna green in general is good for value (im getting married their) i thought my package is fantastic for the price xx

That's not bad price. For my flowers, I'm having a bunch of roses for me and two bridesmaids with eight buttonholes in the colours of red, blue, pink and purple and two white corsets. All artificial for £154.00

I'm waiting an a reply from the videographer lady, I was a little sneaky, she was advertising her business on FB so I asked her to send me a quote which she did along with an explanation of her work, she didn't ask me anything about my own wedding before giving me this quote, so I have just messaged her back asking if she is available on 31/12/17. Not heard anything back yet tho

We have decided on a church wedding on 18th August 2016. We will then go on to a gorgeous 'micro' estate called Tournerbury. Has a marquee big enough for 200 guest, a gorgeous little 'dolls house' cottage that sleeps 8 (which myself and my bridesmaid are staying at the night before), is on Chichester Harbour, a wooden children's play house on a raised decking area, a fire pit, and is all hidden away in the woods that the back of a horse farm! Just amazing. For 2 nights for the whole estate is £7k, which is cheaper than all the quotes we had just for marquees. I could honestly live there. You can hire the cottage for holiday stays too so will go back there every year on our anniversary. so perfect.

Keep persevering with the business Mrs D2B. It's still very early days but you will get there sweet.

KerryBoulderson2be I started distributing for a company which sells body wraps and skin care a few months ago, the idea being to get a good customer base through that and get myself noticed in the wedding market, once all that is going as planned I hope to team up with a couple of my friends who are qualified in hair and beauty to offer all round pamper packages for Brides to be and their bridal parties in the run up to the big day

I have a level 1 in hairdressing. I want to get my level 2 next year, the do make up, then do photography. I then want to offer a package where I do all 3 so the Bride has her hairdressers and make up lady on hand all day for touch ups if she chose to use me as her photographer.

Just got back from a wedding fair, was pretty quite but I have my first appointment at a wedding dress shop on 21st November. It's a designer day and each bride gets a slot to sit with one of the designers from the boutique to discuss ideas etc in detail.
