Our invites were dispatched yesterday and should be here in a few days - sooo excited!! We're hoping to start handing them out at the start of next month. Still arguing with my Mum about the guest list but we can still start handing out the invites to the family in the meantime.

Wooo! The invites arrived yesterday so instead of heading to the gym I spent the evening sorting the inserts into the right invite cards. Had a sleepless night last night as I realised my plan of hand delivering some of the invites to people we'll be on holiday with in August will be too late and so we need to organise a get together before hand. Hmmmm while we're on holiday one of our friend's Mum always does a treasure hunt for us (still) so I wonder if I can persuade her to organise an Easter egg hunt for us to hand the invites out at.

just checking in ladies, how is everything going? Kind of lost my wedding mojo for a while, everyday life getting a bit mental and taking over but seems to be on track again. How are you all doing? x

We are getting married on the 11th October.
We have been very organised so far - thanks to the wedding venue who have took a lot of organisation away from us. I am really proud to say we are yet to pay full price/what we expected to be full price for anything. We are going with having everything, yet trying to do it economically, no offence to anybody who wants it, but I just don't think I could justify spending a fortune on my day.
We got engaged on 18th October 2013 in Cayo Coco Cuba.
So far we have pretty much planned our day.
Our venue £2500 - I am beyond thankful to my in-laws to be that they have paid majority of this. So this has cost us £500 - this includes ceremony (exl registrar) welcome drinks/canapes etc then a wedding breckie for 50 with champagne and then a evening reception with a buffet for 100.

We have registrar - paid for a lot of this.

We have our photographer - this is H2B uncle, he isn't a professional photographer, but he really could be. We have not yet agreed a price, so for now £0

We was quoted £250 for chair covers at venue but have found our chair cover lady £142 was her original price - we agreed for £150 this was to include 6x fish bowls and a wishing tree, which on her website she quotes £70 for - so this to us is a huge saving!!

I have my gown - originally we went to a wedding fayre and I loved a dress at £900 - thank god i didnt go with this lady as we drove past her shop yesterday and it was closed down, i ended up paying £320 for something i fell completely in love with. Thanks to a website glitch I got my bolero for outside photos which is still in debenhams for £85 for £22.50! And brought my wedding heels from TESCO!!! for £22 in their bridal section.

We have our 5 little bridesmaid dresses - We nearly brought out bridesmaid dresses from Debenhams for £60 EA but randomly found T**cos occasion wear section - a dress pretty much identical... in a offer code... for £32.50 including a little cardigan. Cant go wrong there!

Wedding rings - We was friendly to the shop lady who told us she shouldn't tell us this but come back in a few weeks on their 20% off day, this was a saving of £200!!!

We have our beautiful cake. We found the design at a local wedding fayre, we thought it would be so expensive. We had originally planned on getting our cake from M/S as my sister paid £600 for her wedding cake a couple of years ago... took the design to another cake maker who wanted £450 - took it to the wedding fayre lady, who for a three tier beautifully intricate cake and a seperate cutting block £275.

We was quoted £200 for a Sweet buffet. Decided to do ourselves, brought the jars in BH/ Sale at xmas, for less than £20, going to get some personalised sweet bags and the tonges from bay of E and get the sweets from a cash and carry we have access to, so that should be a big saving!

Brought best men cufflinks etc for £2 per pair from bay of E and gotta say they are looking so much more.

We've also brought grooms party suits - grooms suit free with extra 20% off. should get cheapest suit free, but shop assistant put grooms suit free which is a more expensive t/d bak// one, so little victory!!

Thanks to having a v-ry account and them sending us a £25 offer code we got our ve/a w/ng cake knife for £15 not £40!

We have also brought our bubbles for on the table.

Going to be making our own wedding stationary which is something we're working on the moment. We found some card from a/da play section £1.47 for 20 sheets!! this is as good quality as a craft place we found for like £8!! And we managed to get a good quality printer thats still in an electrical store for about £100 for £29,50 - good old bay of e!!

We are looking at our honeymoon at the moment - as we're booking in advance looks like 4 nights in 4* central paris hotel for £250 between us!!

I am seeing every saving we make as a personal and joint victory - the wedding won't looked scrimped on and we're having a fantastic time getting our bargains!!

Wow that's brilliant, you've got some fab bargains there!!! I got the best deal on the bay of e on bridesmaids shrugs....5 faux fur GORGEOUS shrugs, mix matched but in the exact sizes I needed for my girls for total of £11.50 including postage! Couldn't believe it, such a bargain. Most fun part is the bargain hunting lol that's probably really sad of me to say but get such a buzz whenever find a great one :)

Were paying balance for car on Thursday, church on 1st October and flowers a week before as it's a family friend doing them. So not too much left. Also need to go tomorrow to look for gifts for moh, best man and parents. Can't wait til everything's paid and then we can just relax and wait for the day to arrive.

I'm so nervous now. When I think of the day I get so scared!! I imagine myself falling walking down the aisle or something not going right! I know everything will be fine but it's so scary. It still seems like so far away but I know it's just round the corner. I don't feel excited yet big I don't know if it's because there's still things to sort so I'm still worrying about that.

paid our final reception balance off yesterday as well, church money all divided up into envelopes ready to drop off next week. Now just have the on the day little bits left....so exciting!!! I'm not so much nervous as second guessing things now lol mainly my dress. Keep wondering if I chose the right one, will I look stupid in it etc sure it will be fine on the day but its the only thing really weighing on my mind at the moment.

Done waiting now lol time is going so fast and yet so slowly, two weeks tomorrow eek!!!!!
