Oo how exciting! They are good for ideas! We got our rings from a company we saw at a wedding show. We got bored after a little while though as you can only see a select few samples but it was fun and I'm sure you'll enjoy every minute of it! X

Hi everyone! I'm getting married on the 20th October. Taking my bridesmaids dress shopping tomorrow. I'm a bit apprehensive about it because my sister is 5ft 9' and a size 16 and H2B's sister is 5ft 4' and a size 10. I'm a very similar size and shape to my sister and I know she is going to spend the day complaining that she is a fat giant (her words not mine!) Wish me luck :) x

Good luck redsez! Lol luckily for me, 3 of my maids are around 5 ft 2- 5 ft 6 and range between a 12 - 14 but 1 is 5 ft 7 and a size 8! Luckily, they all chose 1 dress that suits all of their figures!

Still no quote from my florist,i went last Monday so i thought i would of heard from her by now! I am off shopping today with my Mum,hoping to get her shoes,bag and fascinator for the wedding which will then be her all done!
RedSez-don't know if its what you are looking for but hbs- (the British Shop at home) have a long maxi dress in varies colours that can be worn in 15 different ways-I saw it the other day and i think its called 'the twist dress'.Anyhow its in the bridesmaid section so take a look online xxx

It feel like it has been forever since i tried on my wedding dress and oreder it and still have to wait til august til it arrives for my fittings! I haven't even got a picture of me in it i am dying to put it on again and feel all special like i did the ;ast time.

ossie12 i know how you feel about the dress bought mine last year and go for fitting in August which seems ages away.Got to get my shoes sorted first had a couple but keep changing my mind not sure.x My sis who i have aske dto be bridesmaid is having second thoughts i thnk.If she backs out i would only have my h2bs sister and will look silly?so not looked at dresses yet for them starting to worry about that alittle. i feel i started off with my wedding plans so well then kind of lost steam...... have day invites to send out(may/june) was thinking, but evening numbers have to be careful with and how do you go about inviting friends but know they have partners who you have never met..do you have to invite them ?or how do you put it across if not? if you have to my numbers for evening will shoot up?panic! i found doing the weding lists very hard.have got hair and make-up sorted but only out of desperation as not confident about them but can have a trial which i pay for.Most of my friends think its easy planning but when you start to think about it more it isnt.There are lots of things starting to pop up now id not thought about. My budget has gone way over and im worried how much it is costing.With never being wed before we came up with an educated guess which we thought was good without going overboard eg hen nite,favours ,gifts etc.have /will overspend by £1500/£2000.im really careful with money and dont splash out on things i dont need but this is frustrating me,have cut my food budget to try and help.Any suggestions to help with flowers or other things would be appreciated ladies.So sorry to go on just good to get it out as no-one to talk to about it.xxx

I think i know what shoes i want they are by Pink and are called pretty (H2B nickname for me) I'm thinking of getting them and adding a bit of sparkle to them.
You sound just like me I started off well got things done in the first few weeks now everything has kinda grinded to a hault :( I must admit we have a similar problem and i have said that for the day i am not willing to have people we do not know there and for the evening their partners can come but only if they are in a relationship. We have a budget of £6000 which isn't much at all so have had to ask for alot of favours. I think i am doing my own flowers for the day (something i have never done before) just to save money! xx

Marie,that would be lovely if you not only arranged but grew your own flowers too.What flowers would you grow? I had a great day yesterday shopping with my Mum.We got her a hat,bag and shoes so thats her outfit completely sorted! She is really a casual clothes and trainers person so was completely out of her comfort zone so i was really happy that we managed to find her accessories that she liked. She is going to look lovely xxx

hi,sounds like you had a great day then poulton bride.my mum is the same ...more casual dressed and no make-up only did on her wedding day when i did it for her along with nails.Im lucky that my mum is going to wear her dress that she bought for her wedding last year with a nice jacket i bought her and i just got her a headband with alittle netting,flowers and feathers on which she really likes.(surprised me).its nice to know our mums will look good as well especially as my mil has spent alot on her outfit.xx Ossie12 we are having evening buffet which is nearly £17 per head and have to cater for 80% of evening guests coming we have been told.the min numbers for evening are 70 and max 120.have to be careful as i dont think it will be comfy with the max amount of people as the room isnt massive.i think its profit for my venue.xx im nervous and excited as its coming closer.....

Wow ladies you have all been very busy planning.
Not alot has gon on with me, wedding wise. I got my flower girl dress. Well my mum got it and Im not overly keen on it. I will post picks when Leah tries it on.
I have started working on my centrepieces but I think they look a little odd and need something to finish it off. I did put onion grass in but it keeps bending and looking really cheap!!! I might go to a hobby shop see if they have anything nice.
I have paid almost half the wedding off just another £6000 to go.... I can't believe how expensive this has been. Me and mark was saying the other night that we now wish we saved for a morgage first!!! Oh well whats done is done!!

Hi MrsB2b i have been mega busy.We are moving on Tuesday but the house is still in utter chaos.We are waiting for the bathroom to be finished and sink and worktops to be changed in kitchhen plus tiling! It is never going to be ready by then but the worst thing is the mess they are making and obviously i can't start to clean it up until they are gone grrrrrrr! Still waiting for my florist to send me my quote-its been two weeks! I popped into the shop on Saturday but she wasn't in so i left a message.I just want to know how much so i know if i can afford it or not! xxx

How much have you budgeted for flowers? One of my bm is a florist and is doing all my bouquets and table runners for me at cost price (she has no money so wouldn't expect her to pay for them) but I don't know how much it is likely to cost, I said to her is 100 pound enough and she thinks more than but I'm not so sure lol and you know you sometimes get nervous about people being unreliable.......... Eek! X

Fortunately the toilet has been fitted phew!
I don't want to go over £200 for flowers and if i could get them for less that would be even better but i really don't know what to expect.That would be for- 1 brides 1 bridesmaid 1 groom 5 mens buttonholes 3 mothers corsages 1 cake topper You are lucky having a friend to do your flowers at cost,i know what you mean about being nervous though.I am sure your friend will not let you down though xxx

yeah its difficult to know because i guess when you buy them from somewhere as normal bouquets they come in around 30-40 pound depending on what you want but as soon as its for a wedding, all of a sudden youre looking at double that! Such a rip off!

I know the word 'wedding' doubles the price on everything.I did think about doing my own flowers and i had a bash at buttenholes and bouquets-it went ok,in fact they looked quite good but i didn't want the stress of doing that on the morning of my wedding.i just knew if i was doing it under pressure it would all go wrong not to mention the mess it makes of your manicure! Would have been a darn sight cheaper though! xxx

I popped in last week and spoke to the florists assistant,she said she would remind her but it will be three weeks on Monday which makes me think she has either forgotten or its got lost in the post.I think i will try and call in again on Tuesday and see what's happening. hi everyone, i'm getting married 6th oct. gradually getting closer. i'm doing the wedding on a budget, and if there is any money left over we can have a honeymoon!!! yey!!!! got most things done, shopping on ebay. :) set aside 300 for the flowers, managed to get fake one's for 2 bm and 2sprays and 10 button holes and a bunch for me to throw for £89. but now looking for real flowers for me that aren't going to cost more than the whole lot!!! even brought my dress on ebay, in the shops for £800, brought for £225!!! but i was a little adventurous and got it 3 sizes smaller. lets hope and pray that it fits! lol hows every one elses budget going? looking for ideas for readings or poems for the church ceremony that are a little different, and help is graatefully received guys. good luck with all the wedding planning. i'm off to look for some more bargins :) speak soon. kelli x x x

Hi Kelli, you are getting married the day after me.Its getting exciting isn't it! Wow that was a leap of faith buying your dress 3 sizes smaller,i don't think i would be that brave.When did you buy it and have you tried it on since the? Fantastic incentive to stick to the diet though! We haven't really got a budget as such but i love a bargain and don't believe in paying over the odds for anything so that ethos is helping to keep a rein on things.I too love ebay, have got loads of stuff for the wedding form there.My veil was about £10 as was my tiara.My wedding boots were ex display and they were £20 (new they would have been £200)Plus i got all my invite supplies from there too. I haven't a clue with readings etc for the church.Probably about time i thought about it lol! xxx

i brought the dress just before xmas, had a good time and then got on the diet!! lol. i tried it on the other week end and it very nearly fits, but it's lace up so there is some leway!!! my plan is to get in taken in!!! fingers crossed. i have lost 1 and a half stone and 19 inches. so on track so far. next goal is a bikini body, if i get a honeymoon. lol. i was only thinging about the vows and things as we had a meeting at the church and it was mentioned. need to have some ideas for the vicor in about 2 weeks. ohhh, u'll be a mrs before me!!! it is really scary. how much more have u got to sort out? i got my flower girl dresses, shoes, invites, thank you notes and some gifts from ebay. also have used vista print too for extra evening invites, maps and directions. will also be using them for the order of service books and menus when decided. as all it costs in about £6 for 100. bargins. x x x

I have got most things i think! Still have to make the evening invites and order of service but got everything i need to do so.I am going to start making my cake when i get back off hen week (going a week on Tuesday yay!) and i think i need a few things for decorating it.I haven't ordered them yet but know what i am doing and where to get them. When i get back i am going to sit down and write some lists as i think when everything starts to get closer and more needs to be done i might start to get a bit panicky that i will forget something1 xxx

helllooo. well have looked into a florist the other day who has 16years experience and now works from home.After speaking on the phone given a rough quote as yet to decide which flowers(not roses or lillies) and for a small bride bouquet,2 bracelet wrist corsages,four button holes will be £70 for fresh.didnt think was too bad.i did like the idea of brooch or paper bouquets but i cant make them as im not art and crafty :-( love the ones people have done on here.so many different and good ideas. oh also i have been to the gym today to try and get fit,emphisis on TRY.lol.went for an hour with friends from work to a mixed one.After 15mins on cross trainer looked like i had been swimming.the people i go with are really fit and healthy compared to me.i feel older than i am.....dont have such an unhealthy lifestyle just dont do much physical.dont think the gym is me thou too consious .its good as you have to work out while there-but i prefer less mirrors and sweating in private.do need to do something thou as im determined i want to look semi decent in a bikini.last wore one 2006 with a sarong i might add.just want to feel good for one time in my life and that should be my wedding and honeymoon.how you all going with plans?xx

I have picked my florist, cake, table decorations and chair covers, videograpgher, photograpgher, church, hotel, rings, got my dress, know where we're getting h2bs kilt, cars and have started making my stationery which is taking ages as i keep changing my mind about them and also have a few little bits that need to come through the post to finsh them off. My sister is dealing with my hair and beauty as im getting fed up trying to please all my sisters. I still need to organise my dress alterations but is there anything else i need to do?

We are pretty much up to scratch with our planning now, we've only got the bridesmaid dresses to sort, gifts and grooms shirt and shoes. Invites are all out and rsvps are steadily coming in, although not quick enough for my liking! Im currently making a post box in the shape of 3 tiered masquerade cake, so its only little finishing touches to do... oh and to pay for it all!!!

Don't panic Lisa i am sure its quite possible for you to do everything in five months,after all some people plan their whole wedding in weeks! Have you got your dress yet because if you are planning to get it from a wedding dress shop they need time to order it unless you buy a sample so i would make that a priority. xxx

My dresses were delivered today and I love them. The moh dress is slightly different in colour to the other three but as it is a different dress made of different material it is ok. Very well made.

I have my shoes and still cant decide on an tiara and my veil. I keep buying veils off ebay and when i get them they look horrible so im off bridesmaids shopping this weekend so will have a look in some shops as we go along. I phoned up a dress makers about altering my dress and im booked in for the 3rd of august so i dont have long to flatten down my tummy a bit more.
