I'm a catering manager......currently a full time mom for andother 4 weeks :( but really want to retrain to do something else not sure what yet though

I am a Customer Service Host/Greeter in ASDA. I love it!

Also run my own Kleeneze business from home. Hard work and a bit frustrating at times (customers!!) but it's paying for my wedding so no complaints!

Kent is an Admin Asst for John Lewis in the Fitted Kitchen dept. He's been doing it for nearly 20 years so as much as he complains about it, it's not a ba job. That's how we met.... I used to work in the same department xx

I'm head of maths in a secondary school and my H2B is a pilot for British Airways. We seem to have lots of healthcare professionals on here. We'll be alright if we get ill!

i'm a Police community support officer, have done it for over 4 years now and love my job sooooooooooo much. its very rewarding and love doing it

I work for social services as a community care officer in an occupational therapy team. My h2b gave up a very good job working in the banking industry in Luxembourg for 5 years but gave it up 2 years ago to train as a mental health nurse. He has 1 1/2 years left to go, will be taking a huge pay drop in wages but has never been happier :-)
Once we are married and have kids, if my h2b is earning a decent wage (!!!), I would love to go part time :-)

I'm a Teaching Assistant in a high school. I work with SEN students and also mostly in the maths faculty running intervention programmes with Year 11. I've worked in secondary for just over 7 years and before that I worked in primary for 2 years. At the moment I'm due to finish my Foundation Degree this year, and hopefully next I will complete my BA.

Used to be an accounts assistant and now am a PA for the NHS lol x

Im currently on maternity leave so at the moment im a full time mummy which im loving!!!1 but the other poop job i have is a membership/marketing supervisor in costco in aberdeen. Its really a job i dont want to go back to. After i finished uni i should of went and got myself a proper job but didnt cos i thought i could get promoted there but didnt happen as i got turned down for promotion the day i found out i was pregnant so a day and good day that was!!!

I'm a jeweller I have my own business, work from home & travel to events all over norfolk & Suffolk exhibiting absolutely love my job and it will work well once we go down the kids route to. h2b is an IT trainer for Norfolk constabulary x

Well right now we are both on benifits but i finish my degree this year so fingers crossed I will be working soon. I would love to work with oh as he used to be a grave digger. He was the one who got me thinking about funeral care but he has bi polar so will find it hard to get work but right now docs say no stress

I was an Intensive care sister but now Im a Clinical Specialist for a medical company so I get to tell Doctors what to do and help them with procedures where they need to replace arteries with man made stents/gafts (tubes) and I love it.

Wow what a variety we have eh? I'm in the middle of my PhD - working with GlaxoSmithKline and Uni of Strathclyde developing nasally administered drugs. Finish the year after the wedding so I'll be changing my name twice in a year, the banks will love me. lol. I graduated in 2008 with a degree in Forensic Investigation but there are no jobs in the area so worked for a small pharma company doing clinical pathology. Absolutely loved it but redundancies were looming so I got out quick smart. I'm basically a science geek. lol.

Neil is a student design engineer but he's not enjoying it much at the minute and is looking for a full time job. He's not fussed what he does so fingers crossed he gets something soon before he goes insane. lol.

i currently work as a senior support worker working with young adults with aspergers syndrome however as of yesterday i was offered a job back home working in a residential home which, i will be accepting :)

im a sales floor manager for b h s, always worked in retail, probably always will lol x

Thanks Kat :) I've done some teaching during my PhD but it's really helping out in the classes and I absolutely adore it. There isn't a better feeling than helping someone learn science. I also help with marking and it seems to take me an age. lol. I think i worryu that I'm too tough when I mark essay questions.
I've asked the same question about the teaching incident and although I wish I had been able to do it (I'd be a qualified teacher by now) I'm very happy with the way my career is headed. I've still got 2 years left of my PhD so who knows what may happen in that time. Thanks for your help though, it's much appreciated :) xxx

I have also been a visual merchandiser and store manager but then I moved into construction doing new store refits. Had a car accident so I'm retraining in IT hoping that I can set up working from home. Still haven't figured out how I'm going to manage it yet but hopefully I will find a gap in the market to exploit.

im a teaching assistant working in a special unit attached 2 a main-stream comprehensive school that deals with special needs and behaviour, started in this school in Jan this yr but have been doin the job 4 5yrs now! h2b is an inservice baseline engineer! i luv my job altho headache central most days, and h2b luvs his job apart from the working away from me and the kids!
