It's amazing how much people can charge for buttons on sticks! Least they're a decent size though.

So glad you like my work ladies!
@Legobride , it takes around 10 hours to make a bouquet not including sourcing and choosing the vintage buttons and jewellery pieces. I use extremely high quality vintage buttons and in this case, Butler & Wilson designer brooches - There are no sticks or bouquet holders in my bouquets as I shape them all all by hand, I do not just hot glue them into oasis which is a total no no as they can just fall out with the weight. You have around 3/4 buttons per stem and over 100 stems - have you seen the price of buttons in your local haberdashery for instance? From 10p to £1 a button as a guide.
I use vintage glass buttons, bakelite, casein and buy my buttons from button collectors. Some are as old as the early 1900s. I also use swarovski crystal buttons in my bouquets too. I take a lot of pride in my work and I think if you go take a look at other makers, you will notice the difference in the quality and finish.
I have also just been chosen to create buttonholes for the 350 VIPS attending the MOBO Awards :)

Lovely to hear from the prize provider!
It sounds like a lot of hard work goes into this fabulous prize (which just looking at the pictures, you can already see) Whoever wins this prize is going to be a very lucky lady!
I think they're a fab alternative to normal flowers for ladies (or h2bs) who maybe have hayfever or just arent the "flower sort"

What a fab prize... again, though, I hope some other lucky power user wins this one, as I have my heart set on a flower bouquet so that I can remove one of the roses and place it with my late father.
If I do win though, who is my new best friend????

If I win, then you can have it Stacey, as I've already had my wedding. I thing the bouquets are great! So ornate and you can see the workmanship in them. How great to have such an unusual bouquet for your wedding!

So pleased you are liking the bouquets ladies!! Cannot wait to make the winner their bouquets. Butler & Wilson have the most fantastic brooches and I cannot wait to use another some more of theirs in the bouquets. And if you have any sentimental items such as buttons, brooches, jewellery, tie pins.. I can include some of these too, to make it extra special. I can even cover buttons in material from perhaps your nan or mums wedding dress. So many options ! They make beautiful centrepieces in your home after your wedding day and can be passed down to your loved ones to use on their day too. I even know of companies who can frame them!
CommentAuthorI Heart Buttons
Not at all Legobride :) I just wanted to try and explain how much work goes into them rather than just getting a bag of buttons from the wholesalers and chucking them into a bouquet holder.
CommentAuthorLegoWife
Sorry, bad joke :) No need to explain, it's all good if your price reflects the value of the parts you use. Just you often see button bouquets made of plain colour buttons about the size of a fist selling for £100+ craziness.
I love your paper flower ones, they're stunning :D
