Really hoping someone can help as currently turning up blanks.
Cut a long story short my fiancé is in the army and deployed quite a lot we have decided to get married before his next deployment ideally in low season as we are on a really really tight budget.
We're looking to get married sometime between Nov 2014 and Feb 2015.
Struggling a lot with venues having the typical minimum numbers, although we think we could meet some venues minimum numbers.
In an ideal world (!!!) we would like to have civil ceremony, wedding breakfast, evening reception all at the same place and ideally as people are travelling from all ends of the country we need accommodation.
Location wise, midlands both east and west and south west are do-able.
I'm hoping someone will be able to help, any suggestions, advice of recommendations will be really appreciated!!
Thanks :) x

My hubby is from the West Midlands and my sister in law is getting married in that area next April. Have you tried a venue search site? What sort of numbers and budget are you looking at?
You'll need to unblock your profile so we can leave suggestions and links on your wall - we're not allowed to use names or links on the forum :)
To un-restrict your page all you need to do is go to your wedding page by clicking the wedding button above. Then under your wedding countdown clock there is an edit button. Click that and it will take you to a page where all your details are, at the bottom is profile settings so just click that to public and your all set to go!

Thanks LittleKettle that's really helpful :)
Finding a venue isn't a problem could write a list as long as my arm ... It's just finding one that fits price wise.
Looking at about £3k max really and ideally could do with some of that to be spent on dress' etc
Will go and unlock my profile thanks for that I should of read the rules properly

Number wise it's about 40-50. Although part of me just wants immediate family and very close friends only!
What about a local restaurant or nice cafe and doing a private hire? I'm not sure how civil licensing works, but they may be able to get a temporary licence or something? We did the legal bit in Vegas then had a blessing in our local park and rented out a local restaurant. I know you want accommodation on site, but there may be places nearby? The nearest hotel to our venue was about 5 miles away and nobody complained at all.

Thank you for replying again :) I will get looking into registry offices and restaurants etc.
The o/h keeps saying about going to Vegas but all I see is £££££'s lol :) he doesn't seem to have a grasp of the costs involved lol

It was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay cheaper for us to go to Vegas and then have a party back here than it was for us to get married over here, especially living in London LOL! Theatres may be an idea too. We looked at the Battersea Arts Centre and they would let us have our own catering etc., which seems rare these days for venues.
