Hello brides! so I'm having a massive debate at the moment, my partner and I are planning on getting married in 2018. we originally wanted the 31st of December 2018 so a new year wedding, however, due to it being peak at the venue we like its costing extra, and it also means that every other price is hiked up because of new year. So my other plan was Saturday 24th March 2018, which happens to be my birthday and also it would be 7 years since my partner proposed, so kind of like another reason to use that date. Its also off peak times which does make it quite a lot cheaper. What do you think about getting married on your birthday? Do you think its to much?
Really need some opinions! Thankkkks!

Hi Chloe,
I don't think it's too much getting married on your birthday at all. The date has many significances for you, so if that's the one you want, go for it!!! A March wedding would save you money as cheaper than the popular months of May/June/July/August and you would be able to do more as you'd be spending less , if that makes sense.
Have you found a venue that can accommodate you on that date?
Good luck.

There's a few brides on here who have got married on their birthday so it's not too unusual. I think Elinor did..
I don't think there's a problem with it honestly as long as you are happy. Personally its not something that I would want to do but I don't see a problem with it as long as you are happy with it being on your birthday.

A friend of mine got married on her birthday and loved it. Ultimately its up to you but I'd go for the more affordable option.

I got married on my birthday and it was fantastic. It's the best way I can think of to celebrate a birthday. We made sure it was acknowledged in the speeches, particularly as I'm a twin and didn't want my brother overlooked. There was also a cake but we didn't get to it in the end, there was too much else happening. I got presents first thing from some people, those who'd got them to the house where I was staying, and my husband had given a card to my MOH. Other cards and presents were given alongside wedding gifts on the table, and I opened them the next day which spread everything out. I can thoroughly recommend it.
30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.

If it works for you both, go for it on your birthday! I'd have quite liked to have gotten married on OH birthday, but we are doing it 2days before.
