Ok girls i would really like you opinion on the following:-

i have been sat doing a list of people that want rooms at out venue and wether they want them for one or two night. So i txt my eldest daughter to ask if she and her BF would want a room there for 2 nights ( and pointed out that i would not be paying for the room) this she has pondred about saying that she didnt know when she would be coming up .. i would have them stay at my house the night before and after but i have 4 children and she wont stay anywhere her brother is the youngest 2 girlswill be coming back to my house in a taxi so i would prefer to have my son here with them ....he BF earns 2.5k a month and lives at home!!!

Then today i txt her just to say that i was going with my youngest 2 to look at poss BM dresses on weds and if they are ok i will buy them ..then said , i will let you know wht colour shoes to get then you can just go and get them .....

reply ... are you giving me the money for them ..... i have said no that way she can get the shoes that she likes and she can choose what she spends on them .

Now she earns more than i do and still lives at home with her dad

She had been told that if she wants to keep her dress she can with my blessing .

Am i asking to much that she buy her own shoes and they pay for thier room at the venue ?

hi lala i had a similar conversation with my dads w2b once regarding they would have to pay for there own night stay at the venue and also the alcoholic drinks ... they were so pi***ed off ... just because they are paying for thr rooms for some guests whoe are staying ... i mean h2b's and my money doesnt grow on trees h2bs mum even thinks we gonna end up in dept coz of the wedding... my mum says its fair that everybody pays for there own room and drinks... so therefore miss lala i dont think your asking for to much as she obviously does earn more than you...

I dont hink that you are asking to much hun, you have got her the dress and paying for the hair to be done, come on a pair of shoes could be as cheep as £10 or as expensive as £100 and at least that way she cant complain that they hurt her feet as she has chosen them xx

If she complains id buy the cheapest shoes you know she wont like but you would still be ok with in pics just to show her if shed got them herself shed have had what she wanted and not something she didnt.
There is no guarantee shell like the shoes you pick anyway and if you ask her to pick you know shed prob just pick the dearest ones possible if she knew you were paying x x x

I think shes got a bit used to having things handed to her! Tell her you bought her enough shoes when she was growing up and its time for her to sort them out herself!

OH MY GOD! I couldn't believe I was reading some of this.. when I first read it.. I think I must have assumed she was what 14/15... but a 23 year old! She's older than me!
Hun, you are not asking too much.. at the end of the day it is her choice. If she doesnt want to buy new shoes or stop over then fine. She is old enough to make those desisions and not have 'mummy bail her out and pay for things'.
She should be helping you out on your day and not worrying about money..expesh if she isnt hard done by in life. xxx

can i ask a question are you paying for everything for the younger 2 daughters if the answer is yes then i can maybe see why she might feel a bit put out i know what everyone is saying about her age etc but she is your daughter as much as the younger two so what goes for them should go for her and you said she lives with her father does she maybe feel a bit pushed out i have to say though i think if she is the one saying she wont stay if her brother does then if she doesnt have good valid reason for this then yeah she should sort out her own accomidation why was she not going dress shopping with you and the younger two? i dont think your asking too much she is old enough to pay her way i just theink maybe her feelings might be hurt at being treated differently xxxxxxx

I don't think that you're asking too much for her to pay for her own shoes and the hotel room! Why would you be paying for her hotel room and shoes? It's absurd that she thinks you would!
