A while ago i had the bad news that we would have to hold the wedding off until 2016 when we were supposed to be getting married in May next year....... NOW the house we were getting has fallen through and it looks like it will be even further back. Considering i went back to work after having our second child because we dont want to sit on benefits or have only one persons income it has not benefitted us at all.
This has been such a bad year for us. I am even working for a company who have screwed me over so many times just so that i am still working for my children.
I don't think we'll ever be able to afford to get married with such little help
EDIT your title has been edited due to the boss man showing this site off to protential investers on a daily basis WHO ON seeing such titles wouldnt be impressed and it doesnt give a very good first impression to these people . Probably the last thing you want to hear but my parents were skint when they got married so had the most minimal of weddings and did everything on the cheap. Their wedding looked like a really fancy occasion from the pictures, everyone has fond memories of the day and on Monday they will be celebrating 42 years of marriage in the Maldives. They always said that because they had to scrimp that they would pay for a big do for their 40th Anniversary. Big weddings aren't the be all and end all and if you want to have something intimate then huge savings can be made. I hope it works out for you hun, I hate the fact I have to wait til June 2013, this must be driving you nuts. x

it comes down to what u want more, the big lavish dream wedding (which lets face it every b2b wants) which means waiting a good few years to save etc or being married to ur partner no matter what the cost of the wedding or what/where it is etc as long as ur husband and wife?
i chose the latter and im getting married in 10 months eeek!
i know its hard trying to set an example to ur kids and paying for what u want in life, it isnt fair but its life and i believe things will come good at the end, my fave word is karma! good luck x

i think my h2b wants the big lavish wedding more than i do hence why we're still not married. All i want is to have my mum give me away in our local church and have my dad give a speach but the rate we're going my dad will prob be dead as he's had alot of health propblems of late and his mum wont even remember who i am never mind our wedding as she has alzheimers
