Your venue looks amazing April! I bet you can't wait! We are waiting for all our details to come through the post so we can send our deposit off to actually secure our date but the woman who has organised it for us has gone on holiday so hopefully she will be back this week so we can send the deposit off. That will be one more thing crossed off the list. We aren't getting married until 2017 though so we have plenty of time to sort everything out! x

its a lovely room! doesnt need alot doing to it, we are sticking to ivory gold and a tiny hint of peach
we are also not doing table numbers but table colours so every table centre peice and bottle tag will have different colour
cant wait to see it got just under a year to wait :-( lol x
been engaged since 2010 on my bday 22nd july lol. nxt year will be 5 years of engagement(2 gorgeous kids over the last 2 years which put a hold on the wedding planning)

We had a little girl at the beginning of 2013 which also but a hold on our wedding plans. H2b keeps saying if we had held off having a baby we would be married by now but things happen! x

we actually started planning 2011 but we moved from sunderland back to peterlee and then fell pregnant....and then again lol!
itll all b worth it my dad says your own kids shouldnt be at your own wedding (as in weve done evetything bkwards but we know its not how we planned it originally) but these things cant be helped but definatly wouldnt have waited or changed it :-) just gave us a bit more time to sort it how WE want and not other people. im glad as before it wqs a full day wedding now its just evening which im much happier about and its also cheaper lol x

April, we looked at Walworth Castle in fact it was our 2nd choice. We're getting married at The George at Piercebridge. We'd short listed to those two and I can't remember what swung it but we wrote a list of pros and cons and The George came out top

Are your children going to be involved in the day like being a flower girl or ring bearer or anything? We are having our daughter as a flower girl as she is obviously very special to us and especially so as she is almost a miracle baby (didn't think I would be able to bear children). So our daughter is going to be a big part of our day as well. Its good that you are now doing what YOU want. I hate it when family try to tell you what to do for your wedding. My mum tried and tried when I fell pregnant to get us to get married before we had her but I outright said no. And since she has tried to tell us to get married at the local registry office which is a big no for me and my h2b. And she has also tried to tell me what to do about bridesmaids etc. She likes to think that she can control everyone in all aspects of life! x

That's the same as me April, nobody knows where Stockton is and always just say we are part of Middlesbrough... We aren't! Unfortunately lennyc89 I don't have any cake recommendations as I won't be shopping for that kind of stuff until next year. I can't wait to go wedding shopping though 18 months before. There is no way I will be waiting for some designer to send me my dress 2 weeks before my wedding! I have heard so many horror stories off this site alone! I am already stressing over my registrar! x

Hi, you can order the BB mag online (you have to pay postage). I do this as it's a bit hit and miss as to whether you can find somewhere that stocks it. My cousin's wedding is in the new issue at Wynyard Hall so I can't wait for mine to arrive. My H2B is going to get a brochure for the venue we like in Dublin and we'll visit the venue here that we like (The Grand Hotel in Tynemouth) and try to make a descision. We might also see if my parents fancy a couple of days in Dublin after Christmas so they can see the possible venue over there but my Mam absolutely hates the idea but it's not her wedding! x

Ohh I am glad to hear that the main things are booked for you! I didn't know you could book the photographer so far in advance! We have booked the venue and just sent the deposit off for it, trying to book the registrar but it proving frustratingly impossible to get through to them. As for that we don't have anything else booked yet but I do have many things planned/organised. We have our bridesmaids, best woman, flower girl, usher, we have sorted the guest list out and I have sorted a provisional table plan. We have picked the colour scheme and type of theme we want to go with as well so bridesmaids and best woman know what colours they will be wearing. I have started collecting glass jars and bottles as well and getting family to do the same and have bought lots of lace and ribbons in our chosen colours so I can decorate them up. Just need the help of my artistic/creative bridesmaid to help me with it all x

Jessica I got a lovely wedding planner from Wedding in a Teacup online was about £20. Keeps me organised. Our bridal party is all picked best man, bridesmaids etc. We have chosen our colour but still thinking about a few themes which we have in mind. I would suggest booking photographer soon as they do book quickly. Hoping to create my own centrepieces and wedding favours. X

It is so much easier to create things for your wedding yourself. Especially when you get the glassware free with whatever you are buying e.g. coffee or desserts. I think I will have a look at that now. Would you recommend it, is it better for you to plan with it than without it? xx
