I love it, it's changing way too much tho
They knocked down the bingo hall/arcade on the quay front the other week and are planning to put up flat's!!!
soooooo not what wells is about and will ruin the whole sea front experiance that you used to get in my opinion, my nan would be turning in her grave if she knew!!

They still have pop-in the other side (on the road to the beach) and plattens cafe has now turned into a complete arcade which I think is just soooo wrong (I remember sitting in the cafe when i was little drinking milkshake while my nan played bingo hehehe) now they have two seats where the ice cream used to be (my sisters very first job was selling ice cream there hehehe).
Plattens chippie is still there thank fully cause I LOVE them hehehe but even up the high street things are changing like the jewellers has gone :-(
so many changes and all my memories with them :-(

Arrrhh when you we're little drinking milkshake... That is so me, everytime my mum took me to a cafe I had to hAve milkshake. Its the same in yarmouth though, everything is changing for no reason and its really sad. In caister where I live there was only one thing left called neptunes palace on caisters old holiday park which now belongs to haven... And my mum and dad met there so it was special for me... And they knocked the whole thing down lastmonth to make more room to sell caravans. So sad its all about making more money these days x

Ah I see you are already on here Andrea.x

Hunters Hall seems quite popular in Swanton Morley.

Drayton Old Lodge, Lenwade House Hotel, Wensum Valley...will try and think of some more.

Tried to stit down and work out a budget but we have a very large family and are self funding the wedding so it is all seeming quite daunting at the moment. have just heard from a close friend that they havebeen to hunters hall before and that it is quite small :-S

Oh I haven't been there so I cant help sorry! And my h2b is greek so he has a huge family! But due to budget we are going to have to cut down the guest list a bit! It was hard but it had to be done! They will still be invited to the evening, and can come to the church for the ceremony if they want to, but we cant afford for them to be at the wedding breakfast too. I felt bad doing it but it was the only way we were going to be able to get married! If not we would have had to have saved for another 5 years! lol xx

Sara can I ask what venues you have looked at around these parts? You never know ladies maybe we could use this website for our additional benefit? If we found suppliers of things (disco etc) that we all thought looked good we could always ask for an additional discount for multiple bookings hahaha!! ;-D

lol Its my 2nd wedding and my fiancee 2nd wedding too (both married the wrong people last time lol) but where as he had a 'proper' wedding last time i had a very basic registry office in lowestoft, the whole day wouldnt have been more then £500 and i had NONE of my family or friends, just about 5 people he know that i didnt. A really horrible wedding day so should have guessed the rest of the marriage would carry on that way! This time i want the real thing but obviously money is a great factor (as with all of us brides).
I did suggest to H2B that we have a registry office and then a lovely party but he sad he wants me to have everything i didnt have before which is lovely of him, i just worry about the cost. I can see us saving for several years for this day and that would just be for a budget of about £5k. He is newly self employed so not taking a wage anywhere close to minimum wage yet :-(

Who knew this would all be so difficult lol!
