Hello, as most of you know, I'm on planning our engagement party. Almost all done - yeya! Just need a little bit of your help ladies.
So we don't want a seating plan, but we are having one very long table. However, we want a little sign with something on to let people know that there isn't a seating plan. So far I have found theses three poems:
Number 1: Come as you are, Stay as long as you can, We're all family, So there's no seating plan.
Number 2: As two families become one, We ask that you choose a seat, Not a side.
Number 3: No need to pick as side, Just pick a seat, Today, we're all family.
Can you please tell me which one you like the most or if you can think of one that might work better which you wouldn't mind me using.
Also, in case this might help, the theme is a wonderland tea party, with a little British twist.
Thanks in advance. X

I've not actually been to an engagement party before tbh! well my uncles when i was little but that was more a small family gathering, so buffet in dining room, people mingling etc. but from pics ive seen online of more 'formal' dos, think its lovely having all the tables etc! I quite like number 1 :) xx

see i would say number 1 as well as the other 2 sound like actual wedding poems. But as the others have said, never heard of a seating plan at an engagement party

same as others, number 1 (I think the others sound a bit like the actual wedding day ceremony, me and H2B are having the 2nd one for our ceremony) but I wouldn't expect a seating plan at an engagement party anyway x x
