Found out last night through a family friend that the venue we thought was sorted for our reception actually isnt. We were told we had booked somewhere and it was free as a family friend is on the commitee. Now for some reason we dont have that venue. Even though we have sent the invites out with that venue on it. Mind you what makes it worse is that MIL2b still hasnt told us. So not happy and neither is H2b. Sorry for the rant but had to get it out. xx

*** We managed to get ourselves a new reception venue. I tried so many places today that i was beginning to give up hope. Luckily the last phone call i made managed to help us. They are actually booked up for another party that day but its a communion and that wwill finish quiet early on that day and they have agreed to move into one of the other halls for us to be accomodated. So happy we have some where to go now. Just let all our friends and family know that its been moved so waiting on numbers coming back to me so we can let the caterers know. WOO HOO

That must have been a real blow, I feel for you! I would definitely suggest speaking directly to the venue and finding out what has happened - it may be that the family friend has it wrong. If not, then I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that the venue still has the date available - and worst case scenario and you have to find another venue, I'm sure your suppliers could work with that and it's then phoning round the guest list. Did you have wedding insurance?

oh no...why cant the other people get another venue or diff day if you booked it first...surely that is only fair?!?
hope you get it sorted out quick enough and you manage to tell all your guests of the change if you have to change it x
