Ok i can sort of understand why no links are allowed in the threads, (sort of) but not even a charity one is allowed. Couldnt you make an exception for charitites?

Maybe we should get points for keeping walls clean? and still have advertisers pay to stuff them full of deals that ended two months before they were actually posted... Yes i am still seeing january sales and stuff

well i dont see the point in spending hours deleting TBH....I only use the forums so i dont ever get to see them if i dont want to.....Is it better to delete them?

there wont ever be points offered for "keeping walls clean" as it is entirely up to you what you delete and what you keep on there

If their were no links of people advertising on our walls then there would be no people paying ukbride for the prvilage to advertise which means NO MONTHLY POWER USER PRIZES!!! Which would you rather, deleting and blocking which may take a little while but once its done its done or no chance of winning your wedding photography, photo booth, honeymoon etc etc??? It's a small price to pay in my opinion and if you keep on top of it it only takes 2 mins every time you log on to get rid of them!!!

hails. obv i dont need the adverts now so i spent a little while deleting them when i had a free hour and then when i logged on i just deleted the new ones and after about a week i didnt get any.
but i would rather the monthly prizes and the adverts although a lot of the time were not local enough for me did give me ideas for my wedding!

I just took 10 mins one day & deleted all the adverts back about 2 months, now whenever I log in I scan them & delete them which takes 30 secs :) I don't block them though because s0ds law if I did they'd have an offer I'd want! :p Xx

I'd be there for days if I deleted all mine. Cannot be bothered with it. Way I see it is that the wall is there FOR advertising and not really for us to message each other on. It's just what we have to resort to because no links are allowed on the forum.

Is is possible to have a filter (or similar) so there's a friend wall and an ad wall? I lose comments/links from people all the time after the copious ads.

When I first came on the site, I instantly starting blocking & deleting ads now I get none :-)

Just deleted all my ads - OMG it took ages!! Must admit it does give you good choice of local suppliers though sometimes - will be doing it more regularly though in future!
