Has anyone heard the one where it's meant to be bad lukc to be together the night before the wedding?
We've booked separate hotel rooms for the night before. Though I do have to stress it's more to do with me wanting to make a big entrance for him than anything else.
What's everyone else's plans for the night before?

well i have already said to the OH he is in a seperate room or house because him to be shocked when i walk through the door and also that means he cant hog the covers that night to lol :-) xx

Plus the fact I get a super king size bed to myself for the night, am so tempted to stick a do not disturb sign on the door and have a lie in as the wedding isn't until 17.00

we havent completely decided but at the moment H2B will be staying at home while me, bridesmaids, mob and mog will stay at the hotel the night before so they can help me get ready(or calm me down lol) xxx

I'm staying at home and H2B is staying at his parents, i want to be able to get ready in the comfort of my own home and want him to be surprised when he see's me.
I'm also having the bridesmaids stay overnight too so we can have a girly evening of pampering and face masks ready for the make up artist in the morning.
I'm not superstitious i just want to wow him.

We were in a hotel the night before the wedding - and had separate rooms. Because we were away from home with most of the guests in the same hotel, we all went to the local pub the night before. When we got back though, husband and I spent quite a long time in his room watching TV and talking - so we only finished up actually sleeping separately.
I didn't see him the next morning though - as he had to move rooms so he could get ready with his brother (the best man) in his room - and my bm came into mine to get ready with me (rooms were very far apart lol).

We'll be staying at separate hotels! My mum is booking me and my BMs in at crewe hall the night before for fantastic friday and the guys will be staying at the venue hotel. :) It's so I can have a car to take me there, not my idea though it was all my mums I said it would be nice but it's expensive to do. But as long as it's not me paying I said that was fine :p
I must be crazy giving myself only 6 months!

H2B is staying at home the night before while I stay at my aunts that way I know I'm gonna get a nice lie in as doubt I'll get much sleep through the night and a yummy cooked breakfast ready for when I wake up! Plus it's way bigger then our place so much more room to get everyone ready and a nice relaxing bath as our flat only has a shower :(

The funny thing is we're actually in separate buildings - the executive suite (where I'll be) is in an extension that the hotel had built outside in the gardens, I'll find a few pics and put them in my photo albums :D

we were talking about that earlier as it will be 1 year today 13 hrs 7 mins till im walking up that aisle!!
the full bridal party and a couple of guests are all staying at the venue night before and night of the wedding. at this point im in my own single room and h2b is in a family room. i asked my moh but she will have 2 oung kids and its not fair to say ask her to leave them with hubby.
ill be glad of ma own bed for the night ha ha ha!!

I was worried about that with my MOH Louait as she has 3 young kids, she's travelling down to me on the Saturday before for the hen party going home the Sunday then travelling back down on the Tuesday with her eldest who will be 6 to stay with me and her partner is travelling down on the Wednesday (day of wedding) with her mum and dad with their other two children who will be 3 and 1 x

does seem like a fair bit of travelling there nikki. holls will be 4 and carrick 1 and a bit and tbh i think she would rather stay with them. the rooms weve booked can be switched depending on how many left after guests have booked theres, mums even suggested i go in the family room and ma bro stays in the single room. im not really bothered about the whole superstition thing it was mil2b that was a bit funny bout it all!

I'm at my mum's house 3 days before with him, then after our pre-wedding dinner the night before the wedding he's being turfed out to a hotel with his family so I won't see him from 8pm till the 2pm wedding!

We are going to be in completely separate places - me at the venue in the bridal suite, all my family and BMs will be there too. H2b will either stay at our house or at his mums - not quite decided yet

i do believe it is bad luck being together on the last night before the wedding but we are staying in the saame hotel but in different rooms and we both be having a stag and hen that night but try to avoid seeing each other

My h2b is staying overnight at his parents house and he's not happy about it but it suits his parents as they can get a lift to the castle in his car as they live 12 miles away and will save money on a taxi lol

My h2b is going to stay at the hotel where we are getting married. I'm staying home with all my bridesmaids. We are having a girlie night and then they will be here in morning to help me get ready.
I didnt want to stay with him night before, its mean't to be bad luck. I also want to make my entrance and see his face. Can't wait!!!!

I hadn't even thought about it! But we did say to each other when watching dttb that it would be really hard not talking to each other on the wedding morning. I'd just want reassurance that everything's going to be ok. When you're used to talking to someone all the time to suddenly not is hard.x

I'd b exactly the same kerriface. I'd have 2 spk 2 h2b in the morning. Its only bad luck 2 see the bride, so I think its ok 2 call or txt them!

im staying at home with 2 of the pageboys ( i think) then going frm my friends huse, which is about 5-10 mins walk away, and h2b is staying at his dads house 20-30 mins away as his brother lives there too and he is the best man. x plus theres about 8 poubs in that town so they can do a pub crawl lol. x

The hotel we're staying at for the two weeks, gives us seperate rooms the night before. It'll kill me not having him with me.

we will be having our rehursal at 6pm the night before the wedding, due to working etc (h2b is on lates the week leading up to the wedding) then we will go for a meal with the bridal party and parents then say farewell till 12:30pm the following day :)

I stayed at my mum's house and Dan stayed at the hotel. Only becuase he wanted to spend the night apart, I would have been happy for him to stay at Mum's with me. My MOH said that when she got married they stayed in their house the night before, and even went to the church together.

I think we'll probably go out for a meal with everyone and then head back to the hotel to set up decorations etc
So far we have 6 of the rooms confirmed by Chris' family for the night before the wedding, and then I need to offer the rest of the rooms to my family, am really excited to have everyone there with us

My h2b could go to his mum's, but his Friday nights, he likes to unwind after driving all week with a drink - there's no way that will be allowed at his mums!! He'll stay here with me, but I have a hair appointment at 8am near his mum's so I'll be dropping him there beforehand, then coming back to get ready and go separately so we still have the grand entrance :0)

I like that idea jo :) and this is what anyone should do if they don't feel comfortable enough to spend the night apart (I know if we'd got married earlier in our relationship I would probably be the same)

We spend most of every week apart - and as we're not going on honeymoon yet, we will be apart the week after the wedding too until we both break up for Christmas, so that weekend together - before and after the wedding will be precious!!

We were orignally going to stay here while h2b went to his mums BUT after thinking about it I really dont want black dog hairs on our dresses SO h2b will still be going to his mums and we (me and the kids) will be going to a hotel the night before where we will spend the day in the spa and then get ready on the day with the rest of my bridesmaids hehehe

My h2b isnt even staying in the same hotel as me...ive chucked him out haha.
I didnt want to see him until I walk down the aisle, and if we had breakfast together, we would obviously see each other. So he is in one down the road with all the groomsmen, and will have breakfast there.

I've booked a room in the hotel where we're getting married with my BM so all I have to do is walk downstairs! He'll go back to his parents' house and my parents can then stay at ours. The excitement of seeing each other all dressed up after a few hours apart makes it more exciting I think. I'm not superstitious but it's fun to play along!

I think I'll pack myself a breakfast to have in my room - fruit and cereal bars probably - but as long as I eat something small, also if I have to go and check on the decorations I'll get someone to go to Chris and tell him to stay in his room lol

I'm thinking of staying at home, with my bridesmaids for a night of girly dvds alcoholic hot chocolates, and face masks! Then having the MOB join us in the morning. And the H2B is staying at his best mans house or his parents, he's not decided yet. We're thinking of spending 2 or 3 nights apart before the wedding to make seeing each other that day even more special! Can't wait! xx
