Welcome and congratulations on your engagement and forthcoming wedding!
Is your date absolutely set or are you flexible? You're more likely to find a venue at a good price if you can be flexible with the day. Saturday weddings during peak summer season which yours is is going to be expensive no matter where you go. Our reception venue is setting us back £14.5k for venue hire and all food and drinks with a little decoration. It all really adds up.
Monday to Thursday weddings will be more affordable and you get more for your cash as they give you better deals/packages and offer more flexibility with guest numbers (lower minimum numbers). Also, other suppliers are likely to be more flexible on their prices too as there is lower demand for their services on weekdays.
I'm sure the ladies on here though will be able to give you some good hints and tips.
Are you looking to be able to have your ceremony and reception all under one roof or have the ceremony at the registry office or church first?

Woohoo i think i might of found the perfect venue! a little place called combe lodge. going to view it this weekend! fingers crossed, as the last place i went to see wasnt very nice, had a bit of a dark feel to it, a bit to gothic for me

Im rather enjoying it, going to dress shops trying them on, going to wedding fairs having a laugh with my mates while we drink champpers lol as sad as it sounds its the most fun ive had in a while lol
