Getting married 23rd July 2016. Have church and reception venue booked, photographer booked, cars booked and bought my wedding dress although will not see it again until January 2016. Will be looking at bridesmaid dresses now and possibly cake/flowers.

Hello! I'm getting married on 9th July 2016 - any wedding twins out there?
We are hunting for a venue at the moment, have the church booked although they can confirm 100% until 1 year before. Going to National wedding show at the end of Feb.
I studied event management and wedding planning and I work in events myself but this is completely overwhelming!

Hi SarahL214, We get married on the 09/07/16 and haven't sent save the dates yet. I'm not sure if we will, i'm a bit undecided. We have just received save the dates for someone else's wedding though earlier in 2016.x

My last post on this thread was October 2014 and I clearly had no idea what I wanted.
Since October, I have my colour scheme sorted (lilac and silver sparkle), and all the big things sorted venue, registrar, photographer, cake, DJ, dancefloor, wedding dress, reception decor and some little bits.....
Scary to think 5 months have passed and it doesn't seem like 2 minutes..... Before I know it ill be at the 1 year to go mark. Eeeeeeek, it's all exciting and somewhat less daunting x

Sounds like you really have things moving now and have made some main decisions :-) We're are the same, big things booked including photographer, band, florist, cake. I think I will start looking at dresses in the next couple of months. I can't believe how much time has passed since becoming engaged and I definitely think it will be here before we know it. I can't wait :-) x

I can't wait either Kjs2016..... You sound like your planning is well under way too. Dress shopping was fun even though I actually only went to 1 shop and didn't intend on buying anything lol x

Getting married on the 23rd July 2016. The first thing I started with was my dress, ive actually had it since last year... i know it seems way too early to get a dress 2 years before you get married but I fell in love with it and didn't want to risk losing it. The next thing we done was booked our church which was easy but we had a lot more trouble booking a venue as July is the busiest time of year for weddings, took us a few months and a lot of searching but we finally have our venue. Next on our list is a photographer. Ive been buying little things here and there eg. sweety bags, place cards etc. I have just ordered our save the date magnets so people don't make plans for the day of our wedding.
