Firstly welcome to the mad world that is ukbride :-)
Secondly take a look at a thread called "a brides checklist" This thread is fantastic and tells you everything you need to plan, buy, hire and do and when, so well worth a look!
Other then that if you need anything just ask and enjoy your planning

Hiya Linzi, welcome to the site and congrats :) August is quite popular and it's around the time of the olympics as well, although not sure if anything is happening up and arournd your area. (although there's the main venues there's lots of training grounds etc) It's good that you've got a budget in mind already. It's not that long until you h2b goes back and he might not want to be bombarded with wedding stuff before he goes, but how about ringing around venues so you can both check them out?

Yeah if you can choose the venue together before he goes and possibly decide on a colour scheme, you should be able to cope from there. I would also ask him if there is anything he really hates or really loves at weddings. Also ask if there is any family issues on his side that you don't already know about as that will come in handy when table planning. Good luck with your wedding planning and if you need any help just ask xxxx

Hello and congratulations! Definitely start by booking your venue, then think about what sort of ceremony you want/colour scheme/dress and everything else will fall into place around that x

First and foremost, have you done the legal bit and been the local register office to register your intent to marry? Get that done, then you can work the venue(s) out before starting on the details :0)

Congratulations! Definitely look at the brides checklist. My h2b wants to help on everything and it's definitely more of a pain in the arse than doing it on my own would be! Definitely check out the bride checklist as it's saved my sanity (i'm a newbie too). Good luck with everything!
I can't wait to marry the love of my life - 28/04/2012
