Right girls, i am off to look at the first of many venues for the wedding. Now that the original one has been cancelled, it is time to start from scratch! Do you think i am being a bit eager though, still have 2 years to go!!! :) I'll let you know how i got on later, looks good on the site though, so fingers crossed. x

i dont think getting yourself sorted early, is too eager, i started planning mine at about 17 months beforehand, things soon get booked up these days x
I have know my soulmate for 27 years and on the 6th August
I married him and became Mrs Garnham.
It was most definitely the happiest day of my life.
I love married life !!!!

Good luck - and definatley not too eager I booked mine 2 years in advance and at that point it was the only saturday left in July and some had been booked up for the next year! Gotta get in early these days lol :)

Oh good, at least i know i am not rushing things, lol. Been for a look and was a tad disappointed. Was far too busy around the hotel, couldn't see that in the photos, and not really big enough for what we would like :( Got to stay positive though, it is just one crossed off the list! Seeing one tomorrow which i really like the look of, just need quotes on cost, so fingers crossed it is perfect! x

never too early! i have mine booked already too. Enjoy looking around the venues, I loved doing that. I had a short list too, and the one I ended up falling in love with was one we went to see to just "cross of the list". And the one that was my favourite from the internet and brochures was the one I liked the least!! (I turned up for my appointment and was told that the manager was too busy to see me as they had a lunch rush on. I had the appointment booked for over a week!!!)

It is annoying when they are (or should be) expecting you! We went to one place a while back which was lovely if not a tad pricey but due to the fact the wedding coordintor was so rude and unhelpful, we didn't bother. It's the little things that put you off, lol. x

it sure is. The place I fell in love with had the nicest wedding planner too. She was so helpful and sent me off with an armful of wedding magazines!!! Which as you know are SO exciting to look through when you first start planning your wedding. It was a nice touch.

Don't mention wedding magazines, i have absolutely loads cluttering up my livingroom, been buying them since last summer, lol. But it never loses its excitement you are right! Just going off in a few minutes to have a look at a local venue which i never knew was there and it looks stunning! Let's just hope it doesn't break the bank too much, lol. x

Thanks girls, and i found that out yesterday Tinsel. Went to look at a venue and they said if we booked now, the prices would freeze, as otherwise it would be a 5% increase each year. Didn't go for the venue in the end though as the conference room she showed us for the evening reception was a big let down compared to the hotel for the breakfast. Found the right one though, just have to make an appt. to have a proper look around and discuss costs. Can't wait! x
