Hi and welcome to the site, you will find loads of useful information on her. I don't really have a budget as such, but think it be around the 3k mark, which is quite a small budget. It all depends on what kind wedding you want and the venue you choose. xx

Heya, welcome to the madness :) our venue is going to be our biggest expense, plus feeding everyone - darn big families! We're looking at about 10K, would be great to bring it down but want to have some leeway :)

It'll definitely be your biggest outlay, and probably require the biggest deposit. I was asking on another thread about how much start-up cash people had and all the ladies said pretty much the venue is the biggest, most others want about a 25% deposit ish and then you can pay in instalments or later on. Have you a set guest list or are you going to find a venue and see how many people you can fit in?!

Hello Faye, best thing to start with is where do u want to get married? In and church or a venue? That's the first thing u really need to think about ad then its when what season do u want to do it in, we've only started I'm going to see my vicar on friday to book our wedding day, which we want in may 13, u need to book most venues a year in advance x

Hey welcome to ukbride, you will love it here, everyone amazing :)

the most important thing to sort first is the venue once u got that and secured a date & how many people you can have then everything else will just come to you. daunting at first but u got all us here to help guide u. few months on here and ur have the whole thing planned in your head to the smallest detail.

check out the brides checklist for a guide to what needs to be done when, ill bump it up for u!!

my budget is £10,000 - £12,000 it started off much smaller but when looking at how much things cost it soon grew haha! always budget over for everything so u got room to play around and then it wont be such a shock when u get quoted something.

our biggest thing is the venue, when we first went out looking we thought yh it will only be about £2000 boy was we wrong. we getting married at a lovely hotel and gold club and that £5,500 straight away.

    good luck.

    xxxx
