I have no idea how to work this properly but I would love to make some new friends. I'm very excited about getting married and very anxious at the same time. Does any body else feel that way?

Have a little read over the forum rules (one of the first threads) and it'll tell you what you need to know about using the forum.
I think most of us are feeling exactly the same as you Hun, just try and enjoy it as much as you can without worrying about the little planning details too much.

There are some great features on here, like table plan, guest list, budget list, I take full advantage of the first two. Wedding planning is fun so make the most of it. What ever question you have don't be afraid to ask, there is a ton of knowledge between all of us.
As for the anxiety, I'm feeling like that at the moment. It's not the concept of marriage that makes me anxious, but just wanting the day to go smoothly. Everybody gets it.

You'll be using the site like an old hand before long, and you will be totally addicted. I love coming to the forums to see what people are up to. I'm not particularly anxious at the moment, but that's because I have a good team. My matron of honour worked miracles with a wedding that nearly got snowed off, and both sets of parents will do whatever we need them to do to help.

Welcome - you will definitely be addicted really soon and wait until you start collecting your coloured hearts! I am feeling very anxious but as others have said its not about being married (I can't wait to marry my soulmate and best friend) - its things like making sure everyone has a good time, creating the wow factor with me in a dress, making my H2B beam with pride etc etc. Everyone on here is friendly and full of lots of information and help. Welcome and congratulations! I think most of us have been this way! I had a waive of anxiety last week when we were both away in Arnhem on a work trip ( just by chance we both got on to the same trip ) and trying to be professional and romantic was very hard.
You'll make lots of friends on here, but also get loads of ideas and able to chat freely in most cases about all those worries-big or small!
And we lived happily ever after!
