hiya all just wondered, passport has expired a so has my 3 kids who are all in my name. im getting wed on 1st sept 2012. wondering if its poss to change u surnames to h2bs before wedding say june 2012 ready for honeymoon. has any1 else did thisor any idea if its possible

You can but it won't be usable until the wedding day, it will be dated for your wedding day and you need to get evidence from your registrar to support a name change in advance.

when i see the registrar nxt wk she has to fill in a form for me to get my passport as we will be flyin out 2 days after are wedding. a don't have a passport at the moment so this is my first and it will come back under my married name Lady Jane Bradbury :) my first official letter in my new name :) you get the form for the registrar to sign at the post office hun

You can only do it 3 months prior to your wedding and then you won't be able to use till after you wedding
I had to get a new passport in my maiden name, only got it July now I'm married, another 70 odd pounds to change it...think they add 9 monhts on to it, its a nightmare xx

I have the same problem, have a look on the passprt website - it tells you what forms you need to complete and everything you'll have to do before hand. Think the forms are PD1 and PD2 - don't quote me on that though. Failing that ask your local post office.

ya can order ya passport no less than 3mths before your wedding that's how am able to get mine 8mths before :) in my married name
