Hi everyone. Im just new on here so please be patient if i dont know what im doing. I got engaged at christmas. Planning on having a winter wedding in january 2015. Has anyone married at the new house mill hotel in lanark?
Looking to have the full day...would you recommend?
Plus...if there was really bad snow..is it really remote?
Planning a visit soon but word of mouth is better

Have you checked out the reviews on Tr1p@dv1sor? Sometimes they can be helpful for looking up info on weddings at a hotel.

It's beautiful there but it is kinda remote, it's down at the bottom of a valley and at the bottom there are some cobbled streets so not sure about snow on them. We go there sometimes for a day away as there are nice walks and i've stayed in the hotel which was lovely as well. As long as people wear sensible shoes to get into the venue i'd say it would be lovely.x

I went to look at New Lanark Mill Hotel a few weeks back and while it is gorgeous on the outside and the surrounding grounds are beautiful, the inside is not that great. The hall where you would have your reception has a really old dusty smell and to be honest is not that nice a room. Very plain. Also there was a wedding on when we were there and the drinks reception was held in the lobby of the hotel, there wasn't a room set aside for it. Personally I don't like it. xx
