I love my married name. I have found it like.... clicked into it straight away. We have booked a holiday in Feb to Mexico - my passport is still in my maiden name - and that's been really odd.

it wasnt really on or off it was the back in touch lost touch had bfs, had gfs, spying on each others book of face behind partners backs etc. never was single at the same time until last year so both jumped straight in!

I couldn't loose my surname it feels too weird to me, but I want to take his, even though its a bit common, Evans. So I'm going to be double barrelled and be Abbie Benstead-Evans. A mouthful I know, but it just seems right for me. Can't imagine being able to change my signature, plus it would be abit long, maybe just abevans?? Plus Abbie Evans alone doesn't sound right and I bet there's so many other abbie Evans out there. No Abbie Benstead-Evans though. :) It will take abit of getting used to I'm sure.

I wish he would tell me what it will be as at the moment he is Cooper but that was his step fathers name which he doesn't see any more. But he changed it too that when he had a massive fall out with his real dad, but now he is thinking about changing it back to Marrison as he thinks he shouldn't have changed it in the first place but his mam doesn't want him to change it back as he is the only one out of 5 of her children that has the same surname as her.
So I could be Caroline Alexandra Cooper (CAC) Or I could be Caroline Alexandra Marrison (CAM) But I do like my name of course - I'm a Brown a CAB.
I would rather like to be a Marrison as that is his real name as I say.
However I really do love my surmane even if it is common as muck. He has always said he would happily take my name but I'm very traditional so not sure. Not sure if I would double barrel it - my parents where going to do that as my mam had a very uncommon surname but slightly glad they never or I could have been Caroline Alexandra Younghusband-Brown or Brown-Younghusband - bit of a mouth full (could of been even more of a mouthful if they had and I got to this point).

I'm going from a long uncommon Scottish name to a short common Scottish name. My own name I love and I will be sad to lose but I am looking forward to taking my h2b's surname. It's like someone else said earlier in this thread I will always be what I was born and nothing is ever going to change that so why worry about it?
Our child is due in March and she will have his surname :-) and I can't wait for us all to have the same name. There isn't going to be any name divides in this house no way!

Just asked him then "What will my married name be?" He came out straight away Marrison so looks like he is going to change his name back and his mam won't stop him, which I am rather glad about.
