BHS have ruined my wedding!! I found the perfect dress nd ordered it to be transfered from another store. I went in 2 weeks later to see what the progress was they told me it could take up to 4 weeks. I went back in yesterday only to be told that the girl i had spoken to had never put the order through and that the dress is now out of stock and they cant get hold of one for me, i tried on a few others but im not keen. I now have less than 5 weeks to find another dress and have it delivered. STRESSSS!!!

ohhh hun thats not very good, could you not speak to the manager about it?? i know you wont be able to get the dress you wanted, but if you kick up enough of a stink i am sure you will get store credit xxx

Thanks, i made a complaint while in store but think i will make an official one to head office aswell. Where alse am i going to find a dress for under £100, think i may head to ebay... x

Its gorgeous very similar to the one you were having as well. I would recommend the place I have bought mine but I dont know if she does rush orders you could ask though?

Awah poor Jessica..thats a nightmare of a situation....Im cross with that woman never mind you, how irresponsible!!!!! What about trawling around some of the bridal shops for a sample sale dress? I understand youll probably have to get it altered etc but I think you may have some time yet, which is good! Cause its coming into wedding season...bridal shops are starting to do clear outs from last years stock!!!! Hope you get sorted chick xxxx

Thanks girls, have named the girl responsible for the disaster!! I have been told by a few people to go to the local paper as some bridal shops may offer me a dress, but im not the sort to have my picture all over the paper haha. One wilson, put a pic on your profile of the old dress. The problem is i have an idea of the perfect dress in my mind it is fitted, simple but not plain and elegant/ But to have it delivered by 5 weeks will i be able to find it. x

i am still drawn towards the ebay dress i have seen. All of the high street dresses are not as weddingy as i would like, very floaty etc. And the few bridal shops i have been to have no dresses on sale and the cheapest i have found has been £500 and im not paying that. I know some people may have spent a couple of thousand on their dresses but as a mum of 2 little ones i begrudge paying a fortune as i know they only cost the shops about £50 to buy in. Plus il have sticky little fingers all over me x

Yeah I can see your thinking on that at the end of the day it doesn't matter how much the dress costs it's how you feel in it. You could get the most expensive dress ever and not feel comfortable in it then go to the other side of the scale and have the cheapest dress and feel like a million dollars in it!!! I don't know if you would consider it but have you tried some of the charity shops??? I remember watching one episode of Don't Tell the Bride and the guy went into a charity shop and they had a really good choice and some of the dresses were really nice!!xx

Jessica I would say go for the ebay dress just had a wee look at your pictures and it is gorgeous I think you will look fantastic in it hun!!! I think a lot of people have bought dresses from ebay and have really good reviews about it xx

Update, i decided against the china dress due to the airmail disruption so trawled the internet for a budget dress to no avail. I found a few others on ebay but had same problem i could not try them on. After a few tears and 4 more complaints to BHS they have miraculously found the dress i originally ordered in the same store it was supposed to be transfered from in the first place. It will be dry cleaned and pressed ready for me to collect Saturday (fingers crossed as they seem to employ the most incompetent staff) Yay! x

Glad to hear Dressgate is sorted now but there is the same dress for sale on ebay and has 6 days left if BHS let you down again. x
