panic not! I was a size 20 when I got my dress and felt exactly the same as you BUT I tried on the dresses that were designed specifically for the larger lady (mine is sincerity+) and they really flatter your figure. They're cut to fit the larger figure and they really look great. Have a look in my photos, I'm a size 20 in the photos of my dress (I'm not now) but don't look it because the dress is so well designed it enhances the figure in all the right places! lol :o)

Thanks Sara I will have a look.
Thats the reason I have left it until now.
I'm marrying my long term partner and she is wearing a dress also... Thing is she's a size 12 and really fit so I can't help but feel I'm going to look ridiculous, I am so anxious! Also she already has her dress!
I just want to make her proud.
I am losing weight lost 17 in the last month but still I am dreading it!!!
Thanks for the encouragement though. I REALLY need it!!

Well I made the mistake of buying my dress before dieting, and now its far too big (was too big when I bought it!) but hey ho! I know the feeling, my other half is slim and the same height as me so he makes me look really big - he was only a 28inch waist when we met compared to my size 18/20! I'm now a 14 top and 18 bottom and he's a 32inch waist so we're now a little more even but I still look big - my shoulders are the same width as his!! haha. Seriously though, don't worry about the dresses. Do be prepared though for their potentially not to be loads of dresses in your size, you may have to try on sample dresses in smaller sizes. Don't be put off, its just that some shops only stock the 'average' sizes. I was lucky, the shop I chose stocked lots of larger sizes as the lady was a big girl herself and knew the difficulty faced by larger brides :o) Good luck, let us know how you get on!

Ohhh I feel so sick just thinking about it. Wish I didnt have to do this bit.
    Thanks Dondons & Becky!
I know when it gets to the day I won't care I will just want to be in her arms.
Think Im extra emotional as I havent seen her since Christmas and might not get to see her till April as she i sin the Navy! It sucks sometimes, but its the life I signed up to 5 years ago and I have to put up with it!

I don't even have a clue what style I might want!!!

    Hellllllp! lol

i don't know how you guys cope, being apart so much. I wouldn't be able to do it, hats off to you!
Don't feel sick, its supposed to be enjoyable and I bet you WILL enjoy it once you're there and wearing the pretty dresses :o)

Top tip - A-line dresses are extra flattering because they enhance the bust and waist, creating an hourglass shape! If you're shaped anything like me, big-ish boobs, small waist, MASSIVE hips, then they should suit you! haha :o)

YESSSS Sara exactly the same!!!!! Your dress looks lovely, totally suits you!!! I have an unusual style, I have a huge tattoo on my chest so I need to find a dress that will show it off properly.
You would be able to do it... You just have to! lol Our little girls miss her lots too! We have the chance to move into military accommodation but I love living here too much so looks like this is how it will continue. :/

cazzleberry dont stress about it! you will have a lovely time, once you get trying on the dresses you will be fine. I hate clothes shopping of any kind and i was dreading trying on wedding dresses, but once you get trying on you'll be pleasantly surprised when you look in the mirror and think actually i look pretty damn good! ;0) I agree with Sara, A line dresses for hour glass shaped girls is perfect! hides a multitude of sins, flatters and nips you in in all the right places. My dress is A line and it really accentuates the waist.

Hope you find "the one" x
