This is more of a ahhhhh moment really Basically this evening we will be meeting our priest for the first time about discussing getting married in church and I'm worried he will say no , really I can't think of any reason why he would but I am in panic stage ! I am not baptised but my H2B is , I do believe in God and most of my family were catholic but my parents wanted me to choose when I was old enough whether or not I got baptised and for some reason I have never got round to doing it .
Me and H2B have never been married before as I know this can be an issue and we have no kids either. I recently visited the church and picked up and delivered a parish register so we are within parish area which the priest recommended to do before doing anything else .

One thing I want to add is something happened a few years ago and this means sometimes in stressful situations I forget words or I just don't stop talking which I'm worried I will go completely off track and say something wrong .

Like I said this is more of a vent thread but was wondering if any of you guys felt like this first time meeting priest ? Is there anything you would advise with this first meeting ?

Just relax. Priests are generally nice guys who want to help. It shouldn't be stressful. The priest will check your details, and check that at least one of you is baptised catholic. He might ask you if you're considering being baptised, mainly in case it's something he can help you with, but it doesn't matter for the purposes of getting married as long as your H2B is baptised catholic. You'll probably have to say that you are willing to raise any children that you have in the Catholic church. It's nothing to worry about.
