my h2b proposed there where we had our first date for some ppl it might be nt the perfect place but it meat the world to me.
we had our first date in costa coffee in the morning hours and we were talking so much and got on really well and so almost two years later he proposed in the same place but it was so crowed that he was really nervous. so i'd recommend the place where u had ur first date or anywhere else which u have as a favorite place together :-D good luck

I agree with WeeMintyMonkie and Enny, somewhere that means something to both of you like your favourite restaurant.

    Good Luck!

My h2b just got down on one knee in our living room when he got in from work. Which meant just as much as something special especially when a few months later I was teasing him about his lack of game and he said he was just too excited once he had the ring too wait.

In other words I don't really think it matters all that much it will still be a memory she treasures forever.

Is she the type of person who would want you to ask her dad for her hand?

I agree with what has already been said. It should mean something to you both and even the simplest of proposals can mean more than the big lavish ones. Do what feels natural for you and for her!

    Good luck!!

Yeah my H2B asked my dad, got a bit tipsy to get the courage and then got down on one knee in front of my mum and dad, he didn't have a ring as he wanted me to choose it and he actually asked me twice as he mumbled it when my dad was getting my mum out of bed (was about 12.00 at night) so not really romantic at all to be honest but still love him to bits lol xx

If you don't have a special place, the place that you propose will certainly become one! It really depends on you and what kind of couple you are. Some people take their girlfriends away to propose, some set out an elaborate picnic, others just seize the moment and pop the question at the most surprising time. My fiance wanted to propose where we met but the bar we met up in had closed and so had the restaurant so he asked around a found a gorgeous restaurant to propose in. You definitely have to get down on one knee though, that's very romantic!! Good luck x

My fiance proposed when we were on holiday in Menorca. We went to the town and were sitting in the square next to a fountain. It was so romantic as I had absolutely no idea he was going to do it. It was perfect.

I H2B propsed whilst we were on a city break in Amsterdam. We'd booked to go to Madrid earlier in the year but we couldn't get there due to the volcano crisis. He was planning on doing it in Madrid as he knows it quite well (it all makes sense why he was soooo peed off after we couldn't get there, now)!
Personally, I don't think it matters where you do it so long as it's heart-felt. If you're considering making it a big thing and proposing in front of people, make sure you know that your g/f will like that. I know if my H2B had done anything like that we wouldn't be where we are now LOL!
Good luck Joe and hope to see your lady on here in October! Hx

my h2b kept it simple we were on holiday in scotland and he proposed at one of the castle we were visiting look over towards Skye(water and mountains) :)

he proposed with a temporary ring as he had reserved an antique 1940s diamond and platinum ring for me which required a little resizing :)

The proposal doesn't have to be over the top as something simple can do the same job!

Do something that is about you both. My H2B proposed in the town that we had our first holiday in. He wanted to do it in the sea on the beach but i got hit by a wave and legged it and spoilt it oops. He then opted for the cliff top restaurant over looking the sea. This was already a place that had a lot of meaning for us as a couple and now has even more. And for me anything to do with the sea i love. (we are getting married over looking the sea in a glass fronted round room)

    Going to become Mrs Stockman

aww thats sweet :o) my fiance took me to our favourite place, somewhere that makes me really happy and relaxed. We had lunch in the most picturesque spot and then he got down on one knee and asked me there.
It was so special because it was a place we visited at least once a year anyway as we love it so much, but now everytime we go back it brings back the memories of the proposal. Maybe try finding out if there is anywhere that is important to her and do it there, or to you both as a couple.
    Good luck! xxxxx

i asked h2b he said no lol!!! he then asked me a few weeks later we didnt have a lot of money so he bought me and engagement ring charm for my charm bracelet (all my charms signify something in my life!) then when i picked my ring he sat me down and told me how much he loved me and talked about everything we have been through together and how he will always be there for me no matter what happens. I wasnt feeling well at the time so was in bed lol i couldnt stop crying it was very sweet! to me it didnt matter where we were it was what he said!

how about a day of her favourite things leading up to the proposal?
make her think its all about the anniversary flowers chocolate wine whatever you know she will love but make sure they are all her favourites us ladies love it when our men listen enough to know what we like best so that should impress her and trust me she will remember it as its rare hehe
start listening and get a feel for what she would think is a perfect date? for example my htb is taking me to see my favourite singer to celebrate our anniversary this year he will hate it but hes still doing it to make me happy that sort of thing gets credit!
did you see the guy in the news yesterday he spent a year collecting enough info about what his gf would have at there wedding one day and a year later proposed and surprised her with her dream wedding everything how she had said she would do it the video nearly made me cry it was so sweet
    goodluck x

Me and H2B went to Southport last year and we had a champaign breakfast in bed and he came round to me side of the bed got down on one knee and proposed, it was lovely. He also gave me a box of milk tray with my ring. If you don't want to go away then you could do breakfast in bed at home and propose then like my H2B did. I'm so glad he proposed in the morning as it made the entire day special.

So many lovely suggestions and I love them all but tbh it all Depends on how your gf is. If she Likes to be made a fuss off then take her out to a restaurant or something, but if shes more submissive then just do something simple. My partner proposed when we were in bed talking and he didnt have a ring so I could choose my own. Might seem a bit boring or underrated to some but to me it was perfect :)
