I'm really struggling on what to have as favours or to even have favours atal?! Personally I don't think this is important, I wouldn't even blink an eyelid if I went to a wedding without favours. Anyway, I have thought of trolley coins/trinket boxes/love hearts/mini whisky for the men but I just think 'are they even that nice?' or 'what's the point?'.. Any ideas please?! What are you all having?
Thanks! xx

We are having candles for our female guests and miniture personalised whiskeys for the men. I think they are just a way of saying thank you for coming? If you are not really that keen on them dont do them, or just get little organza bags from bay of E and put in some loose sweets like mint imperials or something like that? x

Theres a favours thread - will see if i can bump it for you
There are so many people out there who will tell you
what you can't do.
What you have to do is turn around and say, "watch me"!!

We are having indian bangles for the ladies (we went on holiday to India recently so we picked them up directly from the source! lol) and maybe cds made up with songs from our wedding for the guys (as we want to give one cd per couple) we then might also make heart shaped biscuits iced with the date on them! x
Sammi - sounds very creative! I'm maybe thinking of getting orange organza bags and filling them with orange millions (my colour theme is gunmetal grey and bright orange!) x

i've made mini pots of homemade jam and decorated them with material to match the colour scheme and little luggage tags :o)

Oohh I wish I was that creative...fab ideas ladies. We have gone for little boxes of chocolates, one milk and one white in boxes to match our stationary (they will have the guests names on them so they can keep them for trinkets if they want-women obviously!) Not original but definitely tasty! :)

We're thinking of charity favours - maybe trolley coins or key-rings.... We're picking two charities that are relevant to family members who have passed away and can't be with us. I wouldn't mind not having any either, but thought this was a nice way of people getting a little memento of the day that also means something to us :)

Ahh thatnls CatilinD, the bags were £6.99 each to buy ready made with all the bits and bobs in but i bought some bags of bay of E that were 10 for £4 (i think) and i have made them up myself, ending up costing me about £3 each, the lollipops are 75p each if you have them without the ribbon and on so i am going to put my own ribbon and thankyyou tag on...I love them xx
