    Hi all,

We have just changed the date of our wedding to 31st December 2011!...We had liked this idea all along but had to much interferance from family members who wanted us to get married in 2012, but we have now decided to go back to OUR original idea!.

So I need any ideas you may have on decorations, themes, food ect as I would like to have things at the wedding that you would normally only have at christmas time.....I was thinking of having mulled wine and snowballs as our reception drinks but that is as far as I have got!

    All ideas greatly appricated x

You should have a London theme, and act out the countdown like you're all celebrating in the Capital!!! And lots of fireworks!!!

oooh you can hire a reindeer and sleigh! I was looking at doing this! Plus have a snow machine! Make sure there are christmas trees and nicely decorated boxes all over the place plus a sprig of mistletoe in the most romantic area for photos! :) xx

I have just come back from trying on tiara's and the woman that makes them had some with snowflake beads in them, so you could also incorporate the theme in your jewellery.

ive asked my mum and sis ha and they have suggested
1-new york...times square, yellow cabs etc massive countdown (simmilar to london...)
2-venitian masquerade ball theme... you wouldnt have to have masks if you wernt into that, but the opulence and they could be decorations? xx

You could have crystal trees as your centre pieces or placed around the room or at the entrance of your venue, fake snowballs used as place name holders and a snow themed wedding cake. Here is some pics of these things, other than the snowballs are just fake snowballs so arent shown as place name holders.

Another idea is to have pics of when you and h2b celebrated taking in the new year and get the pics blown up and printed in black n white and have them on display round the room. xx

    How about an icy theme?

You can use Ivory, silver and ice blue to create a winter wonderland, this would look great with clear crystals making it look really opulent and expensive.
