    Heeelllllllp!!!

I am orgnised in that I have decided where everyone's sitting, but can I make my table plan look nice? NO!!!

So, I'm having a nice ornate white frame, and have put the foam board in. I'm now at the stage where I'm trying to cut out the silver backing card, and the white card with the names and tables printed on them. The white card is being stuck onto the silver card so there is a border effect. I then plan to stick these onto the mount board with little sticky things that keep them slightly raised.

My problem is this...I cannot for the life of me cut with scissors in a straight line!! It's nuts! Also, I don't have a protractor, and I'm finding that my rectangles are wonky.

I know this seems like a ridiculous problem for a 30 something year old bride to be, but I've realised I'm so cack handed.

How can I get my "tables" nice, straight and tidy for my table plan? I can't believe I'm having this problem.

    Can anyone help meeeeee?

Go to a craft store (like h0bby cr@ft) and get a guillotine, perfect lines every time!

I used a ruler and Stanley knife to get perfectly straight edges when making our table plan. If you don't have a Stanley or craft knife then a small sharp kitchen knife will work too, just make sure you put a thick piece of card or a magazine underneath so you don't damage whatever surface you're cutting on xxx

Ruler Stanley knife and a straight edge like a magazine to line it up to or go o a craft store and get the silver in the right size, other alternative is see if they will cut it for you

    Thank you all!!!

I think I'm going to invest in a cheapo guillotine - I was quoted £30 by a card company to print off 9 tables so not going down that route!!

    Thanks for your help :-)

Table plan is now finished - so pleased! My guillotine was £6 from a large highstreet newsagent and did the job well - photos on my profile :-)

I'm so sorry, but I couldn't help but laugh at your woe xD

Glad your sorted but try to get a half decent gilly as the one I got is absolutely rubbish so I ended up borrowing one of MIL (which still doesn't cut I straight lines! but I've decided I'm Beyond caring at this point lmao)
