    Hello Ladies
I really need your help have lost all motivation to diet. I feel sick when I look at myself in the mirror and just not happy in my own skin. This has not been helped by a drunk at the pub I work at saying for a big girl i have no t*ts, but that's beside the point. I hate where I'm at but I can't afford a gym and the way my timetable has landed I can't attend judo in the week! I am so tired all the time and fed up I want to get out and get active but I barely have the energy to move about.

Has anyone got any advice on a cheap diet and excersice which isn't jogging? (I hate running/jogging for the sake of it but love football and team games) I'm also lacking the motivation to do anything about it right now as I can't seem to loose anymore weight (although I haven't put any back on so what I have lost has stayed off).

I really need your help ladies I eel repulsed when I look at myself in the mirror at the moment and I'm struggling to wear my nice clothes as I feel fat in them.

Sorry if this sounds like a rant but I really need your help!

    Love,
    Griff xxx

Maybe try a wii fit, then u would be able to fit in the exercise when you have the time and it also charts your progress and tells u how much calories u are burning. Or like Kaya said joining a local footie team x

Only last week I was saying the same thing as you, had no motivation and felt like I'd never loose weight and I'd always be over weight and would look gross in my wedding dress and would never be able to conceive but literally a week on I feel totally different and alot of the motivation has come from the girls on here.

Loosing weight has to be a complete life style change.. you can't eat lots of crap and sit on ya bum and expect to be skinny in a few months time. Eat healthy but still treat yourself now and again so your not depriving yourself of the "yummys". I've started having porridge for breakfast, even the oats so simple with golden syrup is less than 200 calories for a bowl and it keeps you fuller for alot longer than a slice of toast, gives you so much energy. I have either fruit or a rice cake as a snack or a low fat ski chocolate mouse, they are lush! Healthy lunch like a chicken salad or a sandwich using brown bread and healthy dinner, plenty of veg and your not stupid, you now what is healthy and what isn't! So you can make up your own meals, you don't have to have something boring.

As for exercise just give yourself a kick up the bum.. I used to sit on mine 24 hours a day, literally do nothing but now I go swimming, I have brought davinas body buff dvd and I use my stairs to run up and down continuously for 15 minutes and my exercise bike is on order. You don't have to have lots of time to exercise, walk to work or the shops instead of the car or bus, there are lots of ways to do it.

You can do this, just as much as I can.

And I will keep kicking ya butt to help you :-P

Come on hun, smile and do it :-)

Thanks hun I walk everywhere at the minute as my bike is out of action (taking it to the repair man who is on site tomorrow). Also my bar job involves being on my feet and walking/running around for 6-7 hours without a break. I try to put in little bits of exersice where I can. My biggest issue is meals i had a healthy diet which I am slipping on now as my partner is no longer cooking and if I cook something healthy he either doen't like it or it takes too long to be cooked in 30 minutes. I can't afford to cook separate meals for us so it has to be omething we'll both eat.

I am going to go on the wii fit later today and see where I am and start from today. I can't afford a swim pass for the pool and as for running up and down the stairs as a student warden I do that a lot in the complex. I have a really high tolerance for exersice and really want to do something fun and active like football/basketball/tennis but I need someone to do it with (my friends and fiancee not very active sporty people). Any ideas on how to find an exersice buddy that can come play sports with me? xx

Stick it on facebook! Or even on gum tree.. You'll find someone local in the same boat as you or make a poster and stick it in your local gym? I'm sure you will find someone hun :-) good luck xx

I use the wii to play all the fitness games. I also sit on a gym ball watching tv etc as that helps build up your core muscles while you are watching tv and you can also bounce on it to burn off some calories.

If you have a step then you can walk up and down it to some music or you can do things like skipping outside, zumba to a home dvd etc. Maybe you could put a request on here for a local sports buddy?

Walking to work last week a random man just rudely said to me "stay away from Greggs love" I still cannot believe he could be so damn rude. Some people are just horrible. It put me in a real slump, but after a few days realised, you just have to kick yourself up the backside. I also work on my feet all day, and often long hours. When faced with the decision gym or sofa, I promise no one really wants to go exercise, but you just have to push yourself. Xx

    Hi ladies
I just had a heart to heart with mike who was shocked at how low I was feeling we are both going to sit down and work out a lifestyle plan for the next month so we can get back on track. He still wont exersice with me but will check out gumtree and daily info. I still feel really low and generally can't see the point in doing anything. I have kicked myself up the arse and sorted a day of studying with a friend from uni and also tonight will be getting very organised. I can't get out of this slump without getting up and doing something! Mike is making my favourite slim meal and giving lots of hugs. He is really being so good about this massive low :) xxx

That is good that he is helping you to feel better. Maybe you could get him exercising with you but so he doesn't know it like playing boxing on the wii etc or going out for a fun day which envolves walking around differenct places.

I'm sure you will get there in the end. x x

Rosey that is awful and that guy needs a good slap.

I plan everything I eat. You sound as busy as I am. Try and squeeze in half an hour an evening to sort out ur food for when ur running round. That way you can chop ur carrots (hmmm) etc so u have them at hand.
I go to dance classes twice a week and thats about it.
I stick to my diet rigidly- really strict!!!! But on a Wednesday night I have whatever I want. If i've fancied burger and chips all week I wait until Wednesday night and if I still want it I have it then AND a proper chocolate bar :0) BUT on Thurs morning its straight back on it.
I hope u find ur motivation hun and I don't sound like i'm sad control freak!
    It's chuffing hard work! xxxxx

It can be a catch 22 when you have no energy and no motivation, but it is only when you get moving and do something active that you get more energy as it makes you mood happier too. I struggled for a few years to lose just a couple of stone, but it was only when my best mate let me borrow her Wii Fit that I actually started losing weight. She lent me her EA Active which was what really shifted the pounds and made me feel better in myself. I got out of the routine at Christmas and have been ill since or the kids have so haven't got back into yet, but will certainly be starting again soon. And don't "diet". It will only make you feel like you are depriving yourself and you will find you eat more rubbish than you did before. Just have what you like but in moderation, but the key is definitely exercise, and seeing as you haven't a lot of time or funds to be going out to work out then stick with the Wii, it will work. I do it with the family too, gives me someone to compete against, lol. xxx

    Hi ladies
I have just got hold of a book which has a method for calculculating your individual calorie allowance and only asks for a 400-500 calorie burn per day :) It should be more successful than where I'm at right now. I'm just heading off to pick up my bike now so I can start cycling to uni again! :) Feeling loads better today really positive about this!

Ha been on wii fit today lost 3lbs also realised my height was down as an inch shorter than I am. Recalculated my bmi to find i'm halfway into the overweight catagory which may not sound so good until you realise I was well into the obese catagory when I started :) Mega happy with this, also looking up ways to improve my skin.. my hair is sorted and can keep it pretty no problem but got to work on the blotchy skin! Any tips ladies? xxxx

Also drink water like it's going out of fashion. The liver cannot process fat properly if it's dehydrated, and it's also good for flushing out toxins, and keeps you feeling fuller. Now when I'm hungry, I have a glass of water first, just to check I am really hungry and not just thirsty. This also stops me drinking so many cups of tea. I'm down to 2-3 cups of tea a day now since I starting drinking lots of water (I used to drink probably 10 or more beforehand).

Just seen this thread; just wanted to let you know that even when you didn't think you were doing any exercise the fact that you were walking to and from walk and don't have a sedentary job means that you are constantly burning calories. Also, any exercise that you do will continue to burn calories for up to 22 hours after you finish. Essentially, just turn around the way that you eat and you're already a massive chunk of the way there :) Good luck with it hun x

Felt exactly the same some while ago...
Was trying to fing someone to go to gym with, or joggin, or anythin really... but most of people are 'oohh... jeah, next time, next month, ive got no money, its raining... blaah blaah....'
So just go and do it by yourself!!! You can be better than them and have more motivation! Come up with some mantras that will keep you motivated, write all down how much you want to weigh, how good you will look, but in present tense. Convince yourself you already are fit - and your body will follow your mind!
Before i started the gym I was constantly tired, low on energy, and low in general...
Get your bike fixed, or get some other other one (on ebay, local used bike shops, ads etc) Go out cyclin sor some 30 mins or so...
Try and drink loads of water, exclude bread and potatoes as much as you can, (all products) Go for lean meat and fresh veg instead. I think about 80% of your health and weight depends on food.... try to have smaller portions but more often to keep your metabolysm going!
You can do it! We all can! :)
