    Hiya,

Am I being ridiculous in thinking I can get a nice bridesmaid dress for under £60? The ones in debenhams are not what I want at all and I havn't got the budget to be paying out any more than that really. I need 4 adult dresses and one junior (shes about 10) oh and a bleeding suit for a page boy same age! lmao

Anyone reccomend something to me. Not ebay though, paid for 3 samples, one was a ripped off piece of fabric, one felt like tent lining and the other never arrived so I don't wanna risk it I'm affraid x

Ask around and see if anyone knows of someone who makes dresses. I had the same problem as you, the dresses I wanted are £170. I have found a dress maker and got pictures etc and she is making me then (4 adult dresses and 4 junior dresses) for £300 which Im pleased about, I went to look at her work so far and was amazed! I bought one original dress for her tocopy and you cant tell the difference. Sometimes peole are very good are making clothes, they jst dnt do it as a profession!

mmmmm - go to one of your biggest nearby towns and bargain hunt - see if you can find what you want that way or even find it and keep an eye on price - hopefully it'll reduce price in the sales :S

Snap Jay! PD I have managed to get mine of bay of e! Because I knew the make I wanted and the colour scheme they are original dresses that have all been worn once and cleaned. All of my BM's were happy with this as they are quality dresses and have cost us about 25% of the new price. At the moment only 1 needs any adjustment and this will be done by a local dressmaker who has made dresses for one of my BM's before.
I did also get quotes to get them made and they would've been about £60 each! However because we are a bit tight on time which you aren't this seemed like a risky choice due to the number of fittings involved as some of my BM's would have had to have travelled a fair distance! Like you I was not prepared to risk getting something made off bay of e but have been really impressed with the dresses which no one will know are not new except those of us in the know! Hope this helps. xx

You can definitely get bridesmaid dresses under 60£ you just need to look really hard and try a few different search options in google. I've found some good websites and if there are several bridesmaids bulk buy can be cheaper. Also you can tell them to choose whatever dresses they like and you'll contribute a max. of 60£ for each dress if you prefer x
