    hey

need some severe advice before i decide on my makeup and hair.

im not much of a wearer of makeup and i dont really have much of a routine when it comes to cleansing and toning etc but have been advised by my sister to start, esp since i have sensitive skin.

looking for ideas of whats the best stuff to buy and when ideally should i start sorting my skin out etc. shes advised some avon stuff (only cos she a rep lol) but was thinking something maybe a wee bit cheaper????

definitely start drinking the water now, around 2 litres per day if you can (I fill a big bottle up and keep it by my desk as I work). You don't need to splash out loads on a range, just get your skin used to a routine - try to stay away from cleansers and toners with salycilic acis in though as they can strip the top layer of your skin and be too harsh, meaning you use too heavy a moisturiser to compensate then your skin will naturally dehydrate as a result. If you've got the time and money, try to get in for at least 2 facials before hand, the last one about a fortnight before your big day - get a steam clean to really open up your pores!

If you have sensitive skin be careful with how many products you use because sensitive skin tends to be happier when you don't do much to it. I agree with drinking lots of water and try to stay away from too much sugar! lol :)

I have really sensitive skin on my hands and face after a severe allergic reaction to some products when I was a teenager, and I completely 100% swear by clinique. It's not the cheapest but it lasts absolutely forever and makes my skin feel amazing. I've been lazy with my skincare routine and it's definitely showing. A couple of weeks of loads of water, cleanse tone and moisturise, and the odd face pack (the only one i can use is montagne jeunesse sauna) and you'll definitely notice a difference! xxx

Start as soon as possible like the other girls have said.

Do start having facials :) and drinking lots of water.

I use Lush's skincare stuff and love it to pieces, it's not the cheapest but it's not bank breaking either. Also remember that skin gets worse before it gets better... and new skincare and lots of water will flush your pores and push all the toxins out of your system... don't give up for the sake of a couple of spots, just keep going and it pays off!

i agree with everyone you should start a good skin care routine as soon as possible. i use vie at home products as i find they are really good quality but without the expensive price tag of some other brands. They have a range which is designed for sensitive skin so includes gentle ingredients. also drinking plenty water is great for your skin.

Yeah, what everyone else said. Water is the best thing in the world for clear skin. I notice a massive difference when I drink water everyday (even in the way I feel). I would use a facial scrub maybe once a week and cleanse and mosturize every day. Also if you can, get a separate moisturizer for around your eyes. I've got one and it takes the bags away, the skin under your eyes is really sensitive and it cannot break down chunky mosturizer so you need a really light one. This is just what I was told at a skin consultation at a spa a while ago, the scientists may have changed their minds by now tho! lol :-)
