    Hi,

I posted a while ago about a military venue making us wait ages for a decision on if we could hold our reception there as well as our ceremony. Ceremony is booked and paid for, no problems. They told us it was "almost 100%" that we'd be able to have the reception there. However we have now been told we can't!! It took them almost 3 months to tell us that, and because they had been so positive we have had all our hopes pinned on there.

Now we need to find another reception venue. We really wanted everything in one place, but now cant do that. So we are looking for places that are close. But they are really expensive!! We are on a tight budget. So does anyone know of anywhere within about 20 minutes from Camberley (Surrey) at all? I thin we'd consider all kinds of places, as long as they can seat about 100 for the meal. A hotel I guess would be good. But I don't know the area and am struggling to find places. H2B is based away at the moment and working really hard so doesnt really have time. He's looking into other military places.

It would cause too much disruption! Why could they not have told us that at the start? I think I would have been ok with it if they had said we'll look into it and let you know, then said no. Its the fact that we were told it was almost 100% that has made me so cross and upset. There is a big parade there the weekend after and they've said they need rooms to set up for that as well. Fobbed off I think is the real answer! :(

Don't know of any venues in your area, but you should definitely let them know what's happen with your original venue & the price you were going to pay. You never know what they might be able to help you with. x

That's so annoying! They should have known there and then or within a week or so to enable you to get organised!

Fingers crossed you find somewhere amazing - I'm sure you will :-) xxx
