I'll be married by then, but went to the one on March at the NEC. My advice. Don't waste your money hun. It was a real disappointment and I'm STILL waiting for a reply from the organisers regarding several complaints!
There's a thread on it, so have a search and see what the other ladies that went said Hx

It was a nice day out for me MiL2B, Sil2B and niece-in-law to be though and gave us a chance to be girly together, but definately not worth the money (and I live in London so used to paying a lot for pretty much everything)_!!!! Hx

Email I sent organisers on 10 March - still awaiting a response is below. My main issue thinking back on it, was that there just wasn't a great variety of exhibitors. They were all pretty samey. And no one really approached me as I was using a mobility scooter that day, in fact I felt pretty ignored apart from teh annoying energy supplier - see email below for explanation on that one!
I attended the event as a my wedding is in September this year, with my Mother in Law to be, Sister in Law to be and my Niece in Law to be. I was involved in an accident 11 days ago and as a result have to use crutches to aid my mobility at present. The thought of having to fight my way through the crowds was awful, so I ordered a mobility scooter through Bartrams, for which I had to pay £15 for. I had already paid what I thought to be an excessive amount for the tickets so was a little annoyed with this. However, it did make getting around the show easier.

I was very disappointed that I could only find one accessible toilet within the halls and this was shared usage with a baby change facility. I waited for about 20 minutes to use this one toilet as there was somebody changing their baby in there before me. From my point of view, apart from being a bit uncomfortable, it was not so much of a problem, but for another disabled person who may experience problems with continence, this could be more of an issue.

I was particularly annoyed that I was stopped by a representative from an energy company who tried to get me to swap household energy suppliers. I have no idea what relevance it was to have such a company exhibiting at a wedding show. Everyone was there to focus on a special day in their lives and not to think about mundane every day things such as who supplies our energy.

I was appauled at one of the models in the Catwalk show. Her color bones and ribs were clearly visable to the extent that she looked ill. My Niece-to-be even asked me what was wrong with her! More to the point, the same models were used to show clothes that were clearly a Mother-of-the-bride/groom outfits and would have looked much better on more age-appropriate models. It was very hard to imagine my mother wearing any of these clothes as she is not 6ft and a size 8.

Finally, I think the thing that annoyed me the most was the fact I was given a 'gift bag' from the Debenhams stall. They said there were lots of money off vouchers included which I thought would be great as my Bridesmaid dresses and mothers' outfits are all coming from there. However, when looking at the small print, it's clear that the vouchers in fact expired on 31 December 2010. So I was left carrying around this bag that to me was worthless. How can a company actively say there are money off vouchers included when they have expired?!

I agree with the above, it was my first experience of trying on a dress so I won't say it was awful as that was a great experience and the lady who helped was lovely. But unless you actually looking to buy a specific dress of book a photographer there was not a lot if things to see. Possibly I remember seeing 1 flower stall and maybe a couple of cakes. I went with the impression I was going to come back with lots of ideas which I didn't. I too complained about the lack of variety on the day.

All said, it was all part of the wedding planning experience and you won't know if there have been improvements made from the day.

Give it a go....worst comes to the worst come back on here and have a little rant!! I'm sure no one minds!...alternatively report back the show was great and make us all jealous :-)

Oh dear - I was thinking of going because it would be brill to experience but probably stick to St George's Hall one in Liverpool (Sept) or go to Manchester to experience it as went to the Liverpool on last year. I do love a good wedding fayre though...every time I go to one it rains though and my mum is freaked out that it's a sign lol

Hi There I went last year to the show, and would not spend the money again, All of the ides you can get there - you can get a close free wedding fayres, the only thing you really get for your money is a goody bag - that isnt worth the price of the ticket.
