I went to the London one back in October and my tip is....
GET THERE EARLY
Esp if you don't have an advance ticket- we almosted fainted when we got their half an hour after it opened and the queue went on for miles (or so it seemed)... luckily there was a separate queue for advanced ticket holders and we got in within minutes.
And yes- you had to queue to get into the dress places- so again if you can get there early you will have the best choice.
And take food and drink- you'll get thirsty... and there will be queues.... you get the idea!

yeah i went to the one in earls court london last year it was good, we bought tickets in advance glad we did as queue was huge, It's pretty easy to find you way around we just grabbed all the leaflets we could, it does get a bit squashed at times but we had a good experience although i think we should have gone to one sooner as we already had alot of things organised so alot wasn't relevant to us but if you are just starting out it will be fab! makesure you go to perfime stands you get loads of freebies and there are free makeup trials. we were there for 2hrs and that was quite enough h2b came with me he enjoyed it too. We did pick up things we hadn't even thought about though. was fun but somes brides are a bit looney there was some funny sites, the stall people aren't pushy at all but you will have leaflets handed to you left right and centre just grab them all as some have good deals and competitions too, have a look at the big pink bus for hen do's quite good but not for me haha hope you have a fab day, the free gift if you have tickets in advance is a bit pap but hey you get some free tampons and sonm jelly and more leafltes perfumes etc so get it. xxx

we saw people from all over the place aswell as people based in london, doesn't really matter though as it will give you ideas too! there are alot of national companies there

I went to the one at Olympia a couple of weeks ago and it wasn't worth it. Was mostly honeymoons and not as many stands as I'd thought there would be. But NEC might be different.

Aww, Hailstone, tell him it's a NATIONAL wedding show!

we got there at about 1pm the queue was still big outdoors not too bad indoors but some bits were squashed we may have gone earlier if we had more left to do

I'm not sure if I will get a reply as this post is REALLY old but I didn't want to make a new post! I'm thinking of going to the NEC show on the Saturday... anyone going now?!!!
CommentAuthorAtaraxia
I was thinking about going but my MOH is in Amsterdam, my CB is currently a bit low on money and my other two BMs haven't replied! I asked my nana if she wanted to come, but I think she forgot and she's busy with family issues right now and I really don't want to go on my own so chances are I'll stay home.
Gutted though, I've heard its a really amazing event.

I'm going to the wedding show in Glasgow SECC this weekend with my two bridesmaids :-) excited to have a wander and get some ideas, but thankfully don't need to get too much organised at it. xx

yeah I may do too!

I thought about dragging h2b with me but decided he'd hate it... and I would go alone but can't be doing with big crowds alone - knowing my luck I'd have a huge asthma attack and die infront of thousands of other b2bs :D

I was going, cant make it now, gutted!

I went to one at the weekend with my friend and I think she got rather annoyed as I was asking loads questions etc so I think for me to go alone would be better as no one will get fed up if I standard chat about something to one of the exhbitionors for an hour!! Xx
