i know theres a few threads but I want to buy my petticoat with next months wages and have finally narrowed down what I think I need. Please go to my pics and look at petticoat ideas. There is a four hoop i like since it has extra layers to hide hoops and hoops adjustable. Theres also two six hoops. Which do you think will be best bearing in mind the dress (also in pics). Dont want it to be stupidly puffy but do want to show the dress off at its best.

I like the 4 hoop, but i personally dont know if that will give the dress its full potential. It may be worth getting one of each and having the option? Depending on their prices i guess. xx

thanks hun.... sent pics to mum and shes unsure too. its so hard as cant try any on at own bridal shop so having to take a gamble. Really dont know what to do

How about ringing the dress designer up and asking them what they recommend for your dress? Failing that ring up the bridal shops and ask if they sell petticoats (you want them to think you are going to make a purchase) and ask them what they think you will need for your dress. You can always buy it else where once you know which one to get. Either that or find a shop that stocks the dress and go try it on as if you were going to buy it and you can ask them there and then which one they think you will need with it and how much it will be etc.

I tried a two hoops but it is not puffy enough with 2 layers, my dress is quite puffy but I'd like it to be even wider, I have just seen on bay of e a few good ones, including custom made trail ones for under £50 that I'm thinking on getting soon but not sure. also I have seen one in red (looks dark) and my theme is dark red/burgundy and ivory with all ivory dress, what do you girls think? should I go for red or not? pictures in my album

can u buy them and try them on and then send back if not suitable. When i brought my 6 hooper from same site they have me 7 days initially but told me I could take longer if i needed to book in.

can't really afford to buy them all tbh as money is proper tight at the moment, and don't want to get one from shop which costs twice as much, will check if she got return policy and order one at a time, but don't want to complain on one or two then she'll refuse and give me bad feedback I reckon

Just checked and no refund and no return policy as they are considered as undergarment :( so I do have to make a choice

I would so go with a red one if it didnt show through me dress.
Check refund as if you can send it back it doesnt matter you can try it one with your dress

i went with the ivory, but if you are the type of person who wants the "non traditional" or surprise element, then i would go for the red as it is lovely as well.I just dont have the confidence (personally) to pull it off.
